krystal | 6 comments Two teenage boys are camp counselors for the summer - camp is a road trip with different vans - one of the kids disappears at each stop and pulls a scam. The first one is selling jars of jelly (and saying they're alive??) The kid wears a tuxedo for these. He is always extremely successful at the scams. The counselors keep having to find him and stop him.
Written from the POV of one of the camp counselors - I think his name is Rob.
I read this in elementary school in late 80s.
Cover is purple border with an illustration of a boy in a tuxedo standing on a crate and holding a jar of jelly for sale.
I feel like the title is long - it maybe in the form of a question.
Thanks!
