As it sits right now - We've got a 3 letter lead even if we go with a full THIEF as our book. I've got a number of Thief books on my TBR - I haven't grabbed a book yet for this round, so I'll take this one. Just going to decide which book I want to choose. :)
Alright we're posted. Just waiting for their last pick and we can add our last pick and be good to start reading. We've got 16hrs left before reading time starts. Hopefully they'll have that last pick to us quickly and we can lock in our final choice without getting too close to that 16hr deadline. :)CHAIN POSTED!

I may have been keeping an eye on their thread because I haven't grabbed one yet. lolI saw Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour that I already borrowed on libby. So I can read it! Unless someone else has any ideas!

What a sad coincidence, I was at a funeral yesterday and my birthday was the day before. Which made yesterday a very rough day.

Thank you Ashley. It was a beautiful day altogether. Sweet last memories tend to be bitter sweet, but it's something to cherish
When I finish my battle book, do I put on the spreadsheet as usual -- mark shelter/weapon/food/defense?And, does the shelter/weapon/food/defense continue to the challenge end?
Kaley - Yes we're all good to read for the battle.Susan - Yes enter them as usual with all the respective information. And yes the resources will continue until the end of the challenge. They are part of the theme of the Hunger Games this challenge is based off of and thus are run throughout the whole challenge.
I finished one of my battle books, I Only Killed Him Once. What an odd book. It’s set in the 60’s about a robotic detective called Ray. I enjoyed it though and Ray is quite endearing. Apparently it’s the third and last of a series but I have no compulsion to read the others. I never would have picked it up if not for the Battle which for me, is one of the great reasons for joining these challenges.
I’ll collect my other battle book from the library tomorrow. Terror by Gaslight. Sounds a bit Jack the Ripperish.
Just making sure I did this rightI added this version,
the version I listened to, to the spreadsheet because I used the cover in the shelter/weapon slots. I added the default edition, Dearly Devoted Dexter to my shelf.
Y'all, I misplaced my AirPods and that is a problem when you have two small children and your audiobooks have questionable content... and by questionable I mean definitely not suitable for a 5 year old and an almost 3 year old. I don't get much audio time when the kids are awake, but I had a solid almost 2 hours where I could have listened today but not without AirPods. Fingers crossed I find them soon.
If your 3 year old has put them somewhere they’ll turn up in a few weeks in a weird place. I lost my hairbrush once and 3 months later I found it in with a pile of clean sheets in the linen cupboard courtesy of my little daughter.
I don’t think I could function without my AirPods! This is my first challenge where most of my reading has been on audio…missing my kindle (don’t worry, I still have it…just falling asleep at bedtime instead of reading 😆)
I hope you find them soon! I cannot function without my earbuds.
