One Plastic Bag will definitely stick with me. Such a wonderful story and the illustrations fantastic - all those African textile prints! You were able to read 2 or 3 that I also was interested in but none of my 3 libraries had. I didn't really want to 'listen' to them with teacher's reading them - I much prefer actual reading. I will be making a tour of my favorite indie bookstore - 2 of its 3 branches (one is also tied to Columbia University's class requirements so has a lot of used classics and interesting non-fiction to be found) on Saturday during Independent Bookstore Day and will visit the children's department to browse these books.

I really loved this project. I still have more books coming in! Our library network has more than 20 branches, but the transfers take time. Two more books came in today from requests I made last week. It was so nice to be able to read physical books for a change. Ebooks don’t always handle the panels well in children’s books and graphic novels. The only audio I had was The Lorax. It was very well done, but I still want to see the actual text. I’d love to see the original version.
I also want the real thing for these two (longer) books: The Secret Life of Trees: Explore the Forests of the World, With Oakheart the Brave by Moira Butterfield, and Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth by Oliver Jeffers.

I would like to announce the winners for the new level names. There were only three entries and so there are three new names.
Level 1 - Galloping Gauntlet - Joy D
Level 2 -The Ocean of Fire Steeplechase - Theresa
Level 3 - Sedona Red Rock Steeplechase - Nancy J
They have quite interesting stories about them which I will let the members tell you about.
Congratulations to all three!
The winners will earn 10 points and 10 spaces, which can be broken down or used all at once.
