Review: Lindsey is a nurse who retreats into her self after being attacked at work. Maverick, her best friends brother in law makes the decision to show her how to live again. His touch is one she doesn’t shirk from or repel. The 2 develop feelings even though they both try to deny it to themselves.
I liked how Maverick drew Lindsey out of her shell and thought it was sweet to get her a dog from the shelter. I enjoyed listening to this story.

Quick Review: Loved it. Loved how the characters came together, how they both learned and grew from their experiences, how they accepted and loved each other. Side characters were great too and I always love a small-town romance.

I really liked how this started and developed. I liked how the feeling of the town changed as the book went on. This book plays heavily with sexism in small towns and in hockey culture in Sweden. The narration was amazing!

Review I've lost count on how many times I've read this. It's such a comfort for me and I always find something new to love. This time was Ox crushing tomatoes all over himself because he finally noticed Joe. (Yes, I still think the written age gap is yucky at this point. My headcanon is Joe is 19 and Ox is 23, mind your business.)
Original Review
I’d like to formally apologize to all the people who told me to read this book. I told you all I wouldn’t like it. I was wrong.

Review: Cute but it felt like I was dropped into the middle of the story. Plus all the different beings. Some are half this or half that and it felt like i should already know. My fault for picking up a 2.5 of a series. I figured they were more standalones than they actually were . I'd like to start this series from the beginning because i enjoyed the writing and the series has a lot of potential.

Review: I really liked this last book in the series. Hallie was really strong in facing and trying to overcome her fears. The kids were great, I loved Drew calling everyone bruh and talking about getting the babes. Luke showed the kind of man he was going to be. Lawson finally got what he needed and deserved and I liked their story. I loved the other characters that featured in the earlier stories.

12. Glasses / gloves / hat / bag / phone / watch
Read a book with one of these items on the cover.
Sunglasses will count as 'glasses'. Winter gear such as mittens and beanies will work for 'gloves' and 'hat'. 'Bag' will also cover luggage/backpacks.
A clock will NOT work for watch. The items need to be things that may be packed for a holiday or travel.
In the case of 'phone', cell-phones (mobiles) count. I will also allow a handset that you would find in an office/home or a payphone, as these may be used to book holidays, flights, etc.
As proof, please post the edition's bookcover in your selection post that shows the items described above.
Please ask if you are not sure.

Review I will forever be grateful my 13 year old daughter wanted to read an Emily Henry book knowing I'd have to read it first. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a new favorite author. What wasn't surprising was having to tell her she had to wait a couple more years.

Quick Review: It was fine. I liked the premise but never felt the chemistry between the characters. Also, this was single POV, which sometimes works well but didn't here. Never really got into the MMC's head. Still, good story that I'm sure many people would enjoy.

This was a relisten to me. It is a bit of a comfort book—I love the setting in the outback here as much as I love Travis. Charlie takes a bit warming up to, but by the end, he truly begins to heal some of the pain from his parents that has shaped him.

Review: this was way more entertaining than I thought it was gonna be. The entire story is told through listening in on phone calls made from the protagonist to her sister. We only get the protagonist's POV but it was very well done I was never lost. The audio narrator did a fantastic job portraying a drama llama teenage girl. Very relatable. I will definitely look for more by this author

Review: I’m enjoying The sugarland creek series. Ellie hates Landon because he was one of the ones responsible for putting her beloved cousin in prison. Ellie has blinkers on when it comes to her cousin. Landon doesn’t realise for a long time that he has feelings for Ellie and Ellie never lets her think about Landon until he gets a girlfriend, even then she doesn’t do anything about it until she sustains an injury and loses her memory.
I loved the interactions between the 2 and the way the resolve of their relationship came about. I love reading about all the other Hollises and can’t wait for the next book.
Sorry team - without Ena's selection for week 10, you won't be able to compete :(. But PLEASE enjoy your books from this week if you choose to read ❤️
