The sequel to The Bone Season which I read not too long ago (sometime last year) and I remembered enjoying but I couldn't truly remember the story. Even the ending wasn't what I thought I'd remember lol So, it was a bit of a struggle trying to place people and events when I started reading this one. As everything slowly comes to me, I started to enjoy the read.

Paige Mahoney is a very easy protagonist to get behind for. While she's rather powerless to change things, she didn't give up and found her way for change anyway. There was a lot of intrigue and betrayals in this novel which gave the book a great pacing but the ending, though, I just had to roll my eyes. *sighs* of course, it had to be! A great read with plenty of twists and turns to entertain but that ending kind of ruins it for me.
