Need some recs for mystery, horror, and suspense books

readinginstars For horror this is probably going to be a very basic answer from me but Stephen King books. The last I read from him was The Tommyknockers and I loved it. Also IT is probably one of my favourites from him. (sorry in advance if you already know these)

I don't read Stephen King because of how creepy and icky he is with his writing and his obsession with young kids and their sexual organs. I know he's a great writer, and the movies based on his books were good, but I just can't get behind how damn creepy he is as a person

not really horror, but the first book of the locked tomb series is a gothic murder mystery told by the obly jock there. the series is easily onr of the most moving, thoughtful, loving books ive ever read. the entire series is about love- not just romance, but love in each and every form. for your friends, for your family, for all of humanity, for the literal planet earth. I am so fucking insane about it

ellie ⭑.ᐟ (httpsyoutube68aej2qmctw) I need some romance books. anything works. i would love it to be a trilogy at the least and bonus if its a gay ship <3

💕📚Cassie📚💕 (poeticbookreads) The first two things that come to mind are the Ravenhood series by Kate Stewart, It’s three books packed with mystery and a lot of questions just when you think you know what’s going you don’t lol it’s one of my favorites Just be prepared to have a lot of emotions some of us cried while others didn’t I think it depends on how you connect with the series that’s the first one.

The second is the American Queen series by Sierra Simone. I have no idea how to explain it other than it’s an experience I thought it was a book about magic or something along those lines but there’s love three people and a lot of back story and if I remember correctly there’s an age gap

Archer | 9 comments Jack - OG Dracula is pretty good. I think Carmilla is better but I have lesbian bias. The Seamus Heaney translation of Beowulf is exceptional. H.G. Wells or Ray Bradburymight be up your alley as well.

The Poirot books are the prototype for cozy mysteries for a reason. Murder on the Orient Express is the most famous.

Our Wives Under the Sea is horror-ish. A woman's wife comes back wrong from a deep-sea expedition. I haven't read The Terror but I want to, the show was great (you may notice I love ocean horror. If anyone has any recs like that, I'd love to hear them 🧡)

Most popular thrillers are alright. If you like female revenge, They Never Learn stood out. I also love anything Gillian Flynn writes.

📚 Alana (professional book nerd) I’m looking for more fantasy that isn’t popular, something with a mystery aspect as well maybe, I’m looking for something with Inheritance Games/Naturals themes in fantasy (if that makes sense 😆)

Lou 📖📖 (louloutre) | 4 comments anything by Agatha Christie is incredible. My personal favorite is « then there were none ». 10 strangers are all invited on a private island and they all start disappearing one by one. Great suspense and plot
