Theme (brought to you by Jack McDaniel): Alien(s) crash land in a remote location only to meet a very atypical "human".

The "human" part meaning they could be a fantasy type character such as a werewolf, vampire, or maybe just some strange dude like a circus clown.

Paula | 1088 comments Oh such a visually appealing ending, Tom (and that's all I can say of it without giving it away); it reminds me of the unforgettable "classic" imagery of one of the first sf stories I read. Well shaped story!

Be out for a few days up in Niagara Falls. Perhaps it will give me an idea for an alien story... Enjoy

Got it see it. Niagara Falls area was overcast the day of the eclipse, so we woke up early and drove to Burlington Vermont where Kelly's cousin lives, directly under the center of totality. Weather was good (not 100% clear), but certainly clear enough to see the chorona and a mass ejection out the bottom of the sun. What a sight!

Anyone feel the east coast earthquake? We were still driving up toward Buffalo and missed it.

Got my story up. Under the weather with what seems to be covid, so taking off today to rest. Hate this bug.

Congrats Jack. That's awesome!

Jeremy Lichtman | 410 comments Moving story Greg.

I think with some tiny edits, you might be able to get rid of some of the hard scene switches (i.e. "---"), which would make it flow even better than it currently does.

So glad you got to see it, Jot! I was able to catch the 2017 total solar eclipse--northern edge of the zone of totality was about an hour's drive from here. As totality arrives--and during--is an amazing, unique experience no matter how much one has read or seen images in advance.
I hope you are well again now, or soon!
