Ever wonder how that phrase was first created? It wasn't so ordinary as a culinary staple created with an unmatched flavor that set the tongue on fire while making the brain dance and the eyes swim. No, it was much greater than that.
You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Still, I will tell you.Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a bat. A vampire bat, to be precise. This particular animal was quite resourceful, and it once managed to find a genie. Of course, getting the genie out of the lamp was quite a struggle, but I did mention that the bat was resourceful, didn't I?
To the bat's dismay, however, the genie had nearly run out of wishes. The recession had been especially hard on him, and he'd been much too generous to every person who rubbed the lamp, simply because he was lonely. But that's besides the point.
The point is, Mr. Bat was only granted one wish. And since he was a very polite vampire bat, he wished that he would be able to communicate with the humans he borrowed blood from. The genie thought it was a strange request, but he granted it.
But what, you might wonder, does this have to do with the phrase 'awesome sauce'?
It's quite simple, really. After he made his request of humans, some would allow him a drink, (quite unsurprisingly, these were the people who simply did not have the word 'no' in their vocabulary) he would drink his fill and very politely compliment them on the richness of its taste. But because of a minuscule oversight on the genie's part, his vocabulary was somewhat limited. He could only declare that his drink was an 'awesome sauce.'

I scream when I see pockets. Not because I hate them. Because I love them. I love them so much I lose my mind when I find one---or two---on my dress. I probably should go to a mental asylum, but I'm afraid they won't have pockets there.
