Financial empire spanning the galaxy that is run by a matriarchy. I read it more than 20 years ago. They go from star to star making investments. Due to time dilation, their bodies age slowly but their investments are very successful. It also has some mind uploading to get all the characters "in sync".

This was a fun book that I would like to revisit. Forgot the author and the name of the book.
