I finished! I ended up loving this one and plan on continuing with the series. I just didn't read anything else and read this in a few days.
The action is intense, and the pacing is nonstop. I'm super glad that I finally started this series.

Is anyone else reading the short stories between the main books? I think I'm going to do it since I enjoyed this so much.

I ended up (view spoiler)[liking Mia more by the end. She seemed to be a bit more redeemable by the end with helping Evan out and it's believable that as a DA, she can't be involved with what he's into. LOL

I thought the death of Katrin aka Danika was accurate. I mean, it couldn't have gone any other way in my opinion. Evan is human but he's not stupid. He can't trust her or at that point, save her.

Does anyone think that Charles Van Sciver is really dead?
I also thought that Jack being alive at the end and not dead will keep this plot and theme interesting! Looking forward to finding out. (hide spoiler)]

Nice, I think I’m about 3/4 of the way through also. Should finish tomorrow. I’m planning on reading the short stories too.

I forgot I bought all of the available audios for this series! Just listened to Buy a Bullet and it was interesting. I thought the same. When she (view spoiler)[got beat and then gang rapped, I wanted him to spill blood.

Okay, if I rationalize it, and he's watching the cameras... once he realized the woman had been kidnapped he probably couldn't have gotten there before they raped and beat her up... him sitting and watching could be interpreted as standing witness... but if he was prepared enough to have security camera access I don't see why he couldn't have been prepared enough to move before it got to that point... Finally finished this. Thoroughly enjoyed it even though the eye read took more than a month. My library has all these in ebook until somewhere in the middle when they start having the audios. I’m reading the short now and then I’ll slide into the next one.

I think we shouldn't even talk about pace. I mean it isn't about how fast we read, it's more about life. Some periods leave little time to read, some more. And some read in different languages (like me). It makes reading slower. But I would never want to aim to max books read, I prefer challenging myself or otherwise enjoy reading. Speed reading isn't my thing if I am reading for pleasure. And I also prefer to remember the details too. So Felina: you enjoyed, that's the most important thing 💜

I noticed I have to read the novella too, I have not read it yet 😀
