I'm trying to track down a book I read a while back maybe 2-3 years

it was NOT Blake Crouch Upgrade (NOT NOT)...
The world was where rich parents could illegally modify their kids for positive traits... the protagonist was injected with something and wakes up to find he has changed physically (red hair maybe?) ... he's accused of a crime and then has to somehow try to find his original genes to get back to his original identity
