► UNSOLVED: One specific book > Book came as part of a road signs and safety puzzle board game in the 1970s. Had characters similar to Richard Scarry but more sophisticated.

Deb Jollivet | 1 comments My parents purchased the game as part of a set of 4 educational games. It came in a blue box and the pieces of the game were made of plastic, white in colour and had wavy edges. I can remember the illustrations distinctly and spending hours looking through it. One part of the story has a cool wolf (i think) driving recklessly through the streets, ignoring the road signs and causing mahem. He crashes eventually and has to be rescued from a hole/ditch. There is a dog riding a bicycle with a christmas tree on it and another animal character packing his car for a camping trip.

Is this meant to be in unsolved?

Moved to the Unsolved folder.

Deb, what's the genre - children's picture book (roughly 32-48 pages) or chapter book?

Adele | 1431 comments Are you positive it wasn't actually Richard Scarry? Cars and Trucks and Things That Go has a Dingo driving recklessly and I believe car crashes and a car ending up in a hole and having to be rescued was part of either this one or What Do People Do All Day?. Also, there were Richard Scarry games in the seventies including the ones seen here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/156064609667...
