Heather | 4 comments Hey can anyone recommend which book series I should go for next?

I’ve read all of the MXTX ones, Cherry Magic and Faraway Wanderers.

I’d prefer a completed series but if anything is particularly good I could forget that lol

There are just so many to choose from! I’ve seen good things about the Guardian and the Huskey and his white cat but am I correct in saying these are still ongoing?

Anyway any suggestions would be welcome 😊 oh in English too please

The White Cats Divine Scratching Post (cultivation)
The Film Emperor’s Daily Live Cooking Broadcast (transmigration)
Little Mushroom (apocalyptic)
Kaleidoscope of Death (horror)

I found this author on Kindle Unlimited who writes really interesting 耽美 danmei stories. Its definitely not your typical stories but you might enjoy it? The author is Bai Bai. I like the Only Sunflower I See is You.

The Only Sunflower I See Is You (Vol. 1): A Chinese BL Novel

In the Dark
The Golden Terrace
Little Mushroom
Rose and Renaissance
Soul Vibration
Silent Hearts
The Imperial Uncle

message 9: by Neizan (new)

Neizan | 1 comments If you liked svsss you’d probably like how to survive as a villain! It’s also a transmigration novel and the mc’s personality is very similar to Shen Qingqiu’s.

Stacie: I loved both Rose and Renaissance and Golden Terrace. I still need to read Imperial Uncle.

My recommendation is "Global examination" by Mu Su Li!
I honestly CANNOT recommend this book enough. It is completed with 166 chapters.

Another recommendation that has not been mentioned here would be "I became a god in a horror game". It is on the longer side, with almost 600 chapters, but it definitely is worth it.

Honorable mentions:

Drowning sorrows in raging fire
Kaleidoscope of death
The earth is online
Mist

Mu Su Li and MXTX are two different authors, though? I don't quite understand what you are implying, sorry. But MXTX and Mu Su Li are not the same author, as far as I know.

Emetis, I'm on a reddit thread and one of the threads there was talking about MXTX. The people on the thread were saying that MXTX was writing under Mu Su Li and it was a pseudonym. They knew the language and I didn't, so I can only listen to the people who know the original. I'm not trying to mislead. I'm taking what I was told. It didn't seem like they were pranking an American, but maybe that's what it was.

Thanks.

Oh, I didn't know there was such a thread! I'll have to look it up now! But honestly though if they were, I would think Mu Su Li's works would have been more popular and would have become mainstream. Still, it is interesting, I will have to look up the thread in reddit. :)

Calista | 167 comments Has anyone heard of this book coming out in October: Legend of the White Snake Hardcover – October 15, 2024
by Sher Lee (Author). It's a take on the White Snake legend that everyone knows, but this story has the white snake as a boy. IT's a danmei take. The cover is gorgeous. I hope it's good.

Have it pre-ordered 😄 Have no idea when I’ll have the time to read all these books!

Katie❄️ (theicequeen) | 297 comments I only picked up one book from the library over the weekend and the librarian's asked me what's up. LOL I usually have a big old stack.
I have my own huge stack of books I've been ignoring and have finally decided to get to them.

I’ve started the first volume a few days ago and am loving it.

You are in for a lovely time if you have just begun reading "Thousand Autumns". There is quite a bit of wuxia, but the main relationship is good as well although they are at times a little dysfunctional 😬

message 27: by Lilzzz_reads (new)

Lilzzz_reads | 7 comments I’m in such a slump right now. Can someone please give me some good danmei recs? Or manga I honestly don’t care. I’ve read tgcf, MDZS, peerless, Erha, svsss, case file, QJJ, and Sasaki to myiano. Is there any more that would be relatively the same genre or story line as these books?

I’m also looking at the disabled tyrant and his beloved pet fish. Looks good but I might need more than that.

Thank you!

message 28: by Sara (new)

I guess Stars of Chaos has a plot a bit similar to QJJ. Also, if you haven't tried it yet, Hirano to Kagiura is a spin-off manga of Sasaki to Miyano and it's equally good.

Erm no, MXTX and Mu Su Li are completely different authors. I don't know what thread you read but you either misunderstood or someone was pranking y'all.

Katie❄️ (theicequeen) | 297 comments Cherry Magic Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!, Vol. 1 by Yuu Toyota is a great manga. Or Hitorijime My Hero ひとりじめマイヒーロー 1 (Hitorijime My Hero, #1) by Memeco Arii .
Novels maybe Green Creek series Wolfsong (Green Creek, #1) by T.J. Klune , The Tarot Sequence series The Last Sun (The Tarot Sequence, #1) by K.D. Edwards , Adam Binder Series White Trash Warlock (Adam Binder, #1) by David R. Slayton , Red, White and Royal Blue Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston , Boyfriend Material Boyfriend Material (London Calling, #1) by Alexis Hall , Legend of the White Snake Legend of the White Snake by Sher Lee . The Devils of Vitality, The Devil and The Sea, Demons of Foxglove Grove by Chani Lynn Feener.

I second Thousand Autumns, Remnants of Filth, and Hirano to Kagiura.

☆ Maya ☆ | 4 comments If you liked svsss then I can recommend the disabled tyrant’s beloved pet fish! It’s also transmigration and has a similar sense of humor:) i think the forth and final english book comes out in March, so it’s almost completed!

I also really love remnants of filth (same author as erha) but it’s not completed yet

I have also seen recommendations for in the dark and i definitely agree! Compared to other danmei books, I feel like the romance is not as much in focus as the other (really interesting) plot but if you like crime solving books it’s really great!
