Check out the Beyond the Balance Saga. Book one is The Great Balance by Terrene .A. Davenport and is a slowburn romantasy with mythology influences based in real time but leads to some high fantasy. Spicier as it goes on, great plot twists.

Lyn 🐝 | 4 comments Read the prince of brotherhood series written by k.alex walker. It’s a Russian mafia bwwm romances following three different couples in three separate books. It’s amazing, I loved it!

TinaNoir | 1456 comments I am in a massive reading slump, I am comfort reading older books so my recs are a bit older.

I haven't seen anything she has written in a minute, but I remember loving:
Sharing Space (The Complete Series) by Nina Perez by Nina Perez.

This book was written in 2013 and was ahead of its time because back then nobody was using illustrated covers and I thought it was so cute and different. (Now I can't stand them, LOL) but this book was great. It came out in a serial at first, one each month and then she did it as one complete book.

this one, by Lavender Parker:
Kiss of Fire (St. James Family #2) by Lavender Parker

It is a second book in her St. James family series, but I liked this one best.

And because it can never be said enough
Birdie by M.C. Carr by M.C. Carr was fabulous. It also on KU...

And finally... I will always rec this book whenever I get the chance:
On The Edge of Love (Mama's Brood #1) by Shay Rucker by Shay Rucker. Zeus... man, I tip my hat to this author who writes the hell out a character!

I made a post but don't know where it went. What on earth...

Justine | 1361 comments I'm experiencing a bit of a dry spell with my IR reading lately as well. As I tend to steer clear of plots involving secret babies, fake marriages, and mafia themes, I am left with slim pickings. To pass the time, I've delved into Shelly Laurenston's Badger series. Despite not being particularly drawn to shifter narratives, I've found myself surprisingly captivated by this series. Set in and around NYC, these books are brimming with humor, offering LOL-worthy moments and eccentric characters in delightfully absurd situations.

I agree with your recommendation of the Lavender Parker novel. I was hoping she would produce the third book in that series, but alas...

The Mama Brood book is also good and the sequel is great as well.

Justine | 1361 comments Am I the only person experiencing something strange with good reads? If I reply to someone's post, it doesn't show up. This is the first time this has ever happened.

Drinking Lattes | 3 comments Any book by Keta Kendric. She's an amazing author that writes bwwm fiction. Her Twisted and Chaos series are incredible, and she wrote one of my favourite books called Severe. I am obsessed with that book.
