Review:
Alex keeps getting into situations he doesn't want to be in. After the events of last book, he now finds himself on the council dealing with all the politics he has stayed out of. The problem is none of the other council members want him there, but he is to useful. A lot of magical artifacts are in the wrong hands and he is helping to find them, with his skills. I like Alex's character development and the fact that his main motivation is to gain enough influence and power to keep his friends safe. On the other hand his plans have a tendency to backfire in unpredictable ways. All in all I feel that was a very good installment and a logical continuation of where Alex might end up.

Review:
This was great. A severed hand is found in an alley and the body is found on the roof above. All of this leads back to a mass homicide in a Chinese restaurant many years ago. Jane Rizzoli is back in the forefront, which I what I’ve been missing. This was a great mystery with some good supporting characters brought in. One of my favorites in the series!

Review: I've watched the old movie a few times. It's a good movie. It was a relief that there were only minor changes from the book. That Captain certainly was a character! And Mrs. Muir might be classified as a doormat. But that's alright. Some people are like that, and they deserve to be the protagonist in books, too :)

Review
I was really looking forward to reading this book as I’ve heard so much about it. The idea of it is fun — 2 serial killers that kill serial killers, a sexy romance, and some warped sense of good vs evil — what could go wrong? Kinda like Dexter meets A Court of Thorns and Roses or the Bridgertons or something — the key part being Dexter. In full disclosure, I have to say that the beginning was a bit slow for me and I started thinking “what?” But then around page 100 it started getting better, the characters became more “real” and I started to enjoy it. It’s a great idea for a book. And, in the end, it did bring what it promised. So, good job!
