Pluto | 45 comments No, because I didn't finish it which means I can't exactly talk about it in full detail, except for the parts that I hated.
It takes a LOT for me to DNF a book.

I tend to push through books I want to DNF typically to give it a bad rating and slam the book in my review. See: Beast a tale of love and revenge

Panda02 | 27 comments I do not. but the mention of making a shelf on here was a good idea

message 154: by Mimi (new)

Mimi | 8 comments not really.. i just add it to my dnf shell.

message 157: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Shay | 2 comments I wouldn't - there have been some books I don't like, but I 'suffer' through them. I've only shelved a handful of books through 60 years of reading. I like the idea of a shelf! Maybe I'll finally shelve books I don't enjoy,,,,,

Sophs_ Bookommendations ♡ | 8 comments Would anyone like to join a teams group and discuss our books?

message 159: by Max (new)

Max | 4 comments depends. if i barely scratch the surface it just gets put down as dnf, but if i’ve made it 90+% i sometimes count it, especially if i’m only missing a conclusion or epilogue.

message 160: by Rahela (new)

Rahela Borbei (redqueenlover) | 2 comments No. I have a notebook where I have written down all the books I own and all the reading challenges and I write it with another color than the rest of the books so I will know I tried to read it, but it just wasn’t for me.

message 161: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Weida | 11 comments yes. if 60 page novellas count as book being read, then the 150 pages I read to decide to DNF should count too

message 164: by Doris (new)

Doris (dorisb) | 104 comments In the 15 years I have used Goodreads, I've marked 156 books as DNR. Most of those I finished but never intend to pick up those, or others by the same author, for read / reread. So, for me it's a cautionary list.

Doris (dorisb) | 104 comments @Pisces51... yes I have had posts disappear or only appear partially finish. I usually find out when someone comments that it sounds as if I didn't finish the review. Like you, I fix them as I find them.

message 167: by Doris (new)

Doris (dorisb) | 104 comments @Haleigh Buchanan, I like that title "disappointment collection ".

message 168: by Daniz (new)

Daniz (happygirl53) | 46 comments If I’ve spent a good amount if time on it and read like 300 pages+ I count it as read

message 169: by Jenny Baker (new)

Jenny Baker (jennyrbaker) Sometimes I count them if I've read at least half of it, especially if it's a longer book, but typically, I don't count them. If I think the issue is me (wrong mood), then I put it on my "Lost Interest" shelf, so that I can go back to it when I'm in a different mood. If it's definitely the book, then it goes on my DNF shelf.

message 170: by Nilou (new)

Nilou (thenilou) | 24 comments nope definitely

message 171: by Jeanine (new)

Jeanine | 80 comments No, sometimes I will shelve it to try again later. Otherwise I just place it in a Little Free Library.

I agree, Doris, I mark them as DNF and may or may not rate the book based on my reasons for DNF. If I just never read any of it, it is gone, never recorded in any way. But I like to know and remembered why I did not finish a book. peace, janz
