SOLVED. Children's Picture Book from the 1960s or 1970s about a giraffe that lines on a star and goes to visit her neighbor that is possibly a hippo on another star. [s]

My daughter remembers this as her book but it was definitely mine first, so either 60s or 70s. I remember the giraffe putting on her best scarf to go visit her neighbor, who I think sent her a letter to invite her over. I feel like her name was Gina but that seems way too obvious and I feel like the book was called Neighbors but I have searched high and low and have not been able to find anything. She definitely lived on a star and definitely put on a scarf. TIA
