Buddy Read: DECEPTION by C.J. Redwine

Why? Why is it that I think of this book as "it's okay", but I'm pulled to keep reading it? Maybe over 2/3 done. I guess it's entertaining, and the author has a nice writing style. The action continues, although it's all a bit of the same. I sense answers are right around the corner.

I've only managed to read 24% and I'm a little bored but I do love Redwine's writing style, that's what kept me captivated in Defiance.

Yeah Sylvia it was the same for me too until I got to the 30% point and the action picked up so keep going it'll get better soon. Still interesting enough to continue on reading and see where the story goes.

OMG yes! Who the heck is causing all of the horrible mishaps??!! I'm 38% in and I think it's someone on the inside too :( poor Logan, more stuff to worry about and figure out.

I have pushed through and have read 49% and I'm glad it picked up, just like you said at the 30% mark! WHO IS THIS DAMN TRACKER?? The suspense is definitely killing me.

Logan has so much on his plate and I hate that Rachel has made a deal with Ian behind Logan's back. I fear it's going to come back to haunt them all. When will find out the answers? I'm losing it here lol

And OMG I LOVE LOVE Willow!! She is awesome! I'm at 45% and it's gotten SO good! I love that they have a little team among them so they can share in the planning and help Logan & Rachel carry out plans and protect the whole group. I hope the inside traitor doesn't turn out to be anyone we like though. That would suck.

Okay, I'm 80% done and I too cried :'( Rachel made me feel for her despite how much I've wanted to slap her...she's so utterly void of all emotion and is completely broken ugh I'm really scared now as to what is about to happen. Just read something extremely important and it makes sense but I do not know what this means for Logan...oh the suspense and apprehension!! If my eyelids weren't getting heavy I'd finish it but alas I need to sleep.

I'm at 51% and totally agree with everything you guys have said. I'm a little chapped at Rachel and her deal with Ian and she needs to tell Logan how she feels about Killing Melvin. He will tell her that he was going to kill her first. If the tracker turns out to be someone we like I'm throwing something.

OMG YES Sylvia, that last 25% was awesome! I suspected some stuff to a degree but hot damn she took it to a whole aother level with all those twists and turns and I need to know how it ends for sure. We definitely need to read book 3!

A whole new level for sure. It's her writing style, she keeps us hooked even if the story was travelling at a slower pace like the first 30% but that's the mark of a brilliant writer. Keeping the good stuff for when it counts to keep you turning those pages. Bloody brilliant!
