Can we maybe add another tracking thingy where I could track books that I have which could be reverse in the future if I actually get on ..."
Maddy, totally get your point.
The way I normally fill our spreadsheet is I try and cover the trickier letters (F, V, I, E, O) first alongwith the Reverses and Color Cards, so that hopefully by mid-month when the Mini Challenges come about we can focus on them and only have easier letters to fill (T, H, K, S, N).
But, feel free to totally add a comment in the Reverse column to any book you have at your disposal and quickly read if needed. That will definitely help.

Thanks Apoorv, it looks like someone moved it over to the Read tab already. I used to be a lot more proficient with spreadsheets, but having not used them in over 10 years now they just seem to get a bit confusing for me. I can appreciate being very well organized and all the pretty color coding though.
Can someone add another line for me to list another book? I am starting to read Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah today.

I really enjoyed I'm Glad my Mother Died. I agree with other comments made about the book that she was very courageous to share so much about her childhood. I listened to the audiobook read by the Author and the only critique I had was that she seemed to speak a bit to fast.

Back in the way back days I used to read more horror/thrillers and read quite a bit of Stephen King and Dean Koontz.

I have a few where I've read a significant portion of their back catalogue (Nora Roberts/JD Robb), most of a..."
I just added The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper to my TBR. It sounds very interesting. I have a annual reading goal to read one non-fiction book a month. So if anyone has favorite non-fiction books to share that would be great!

Aww, you get me :)
Yes, that is what I meant. Books someone has already read that I already own, so you can know beforehand what they fit and tell me to read it quickly if we need it, either reverse or some hard letters or something

Done, have at it :)

The Five is good. One might even say very good.
Hmm...
This Book May Save Your Life: Everyday Health Hacks to Worry Less and Live Better - this is a funny one
Unruly: The Ridiculous History of England's Kings and Queens - funny and good if you like history. I do not like history, so it was an okay read for me
The Woman in Me - exceptional writing. Which is why I do not think she wrote it herself. Not much in content, but the writing is very good, provokes an emotional response.
Cults: Inside the World's Most Notorious Groups and Understanding the People Who Joined Them - I liked this one. More than Helter skelter, which just bored me to tears with the endless repetition and going in circles moving nowhere
The Gene: An Intimate History - this is a very science one, but good
A Taste for Poison: Eleven Deadly Molecules and the Killers Who Used Them - this one is amazing
The Selfish Gene - another good one
Man’s Search for Meaning- another good one
Homo Deus: ‘An intoxicating brew of science, philosophy and futurism’ Mail on Sunday - The first book Homo sapiens bored me to death, but this one was more entertaining. I also read it after covid, so I laughed my ass off about his predictions about anything like the plague never ever happening again. Might be the reason why I liked it :D
The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America - repetitive, but i liked it
Greenlights - he is funny. And I liked how he read it. Don't know how I would feel about reading it, but the listening was good
And to finish off with something amazing - The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America’s Shining Women. Heartbreaking, but awesome 5 stars. And I am stingy with my stars

I think your book just need to fit in one rule.
or you can check the rules here
the rules

The spring festival is on the way, so I was busy with the work. And the next year will be the year of dragon(the kind one- Chinese version).
And I am going to catch up with you guys!

Lilly - that looks perfect to me! I know Apoorv really appreciates having all the options in existence as it means it’s easier for him to wriggle the books in. Especially the pesky Draw 2 cards or 7/V and 5/I which always seem to be the hardest!
JoJo - I tend to read mainly true crime and medical case studies, then go down an absolute rabbit hole lol. I’ve read a few of the books Maddy has suggested so would absolutely recommend Cults, A Taste For Poison, The Devil in White City (and really any true crime that took place in the Golden Age), and Radium Girls.
I finished a book today! Sadly, i started it before Uno. Hopefully with school finally back, i can get into a bit more of a rhythm with my reading time.

Thank you for all the recommendations! I will definitely be adding more books to my TBR

This is a fantastic list, Maddy. A few of them have been on my radar, but I am definitely going to hunt for some of these books that I have no heard of before (Unruly, A Taste for Poison - sounds verrrry interesting). Thanks for sharing this.

FEBRUARY MINI CHALLENGE IS HERE!!
Head on over here for more details!
The tracking spreadsheet is updated with a new tab that lists all the tasks.
Also, the main tracking page has a column where I urge you to write the task numbers, if your book applies to more than one mini task.
Books can be started at anytime after Feb 1,
but CANNOT be finished before the start of the Mini Challenge.
Countdown to the Mini Challenge Start: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...

Thanks for the Amazon link.
Should be all set. Added the page number to the GoodReads page, should show up shortly.

As a side note, it is roughly the middle of the February so now would be a good time to let me know what you want me to find/focus on, so I can search my books ;)

Oh no. Should we be concerned? :D

Preferably put all the information in the spreadsheet so it stays in one place - but if you are more comfortable with adding all the possible mini challenge options your book fits in a comment here, that should work too.

I want to say yes because it seems obvious, but I have asked the Mods to weigh in just to be sure. Will get back to you as to what they say.

Tricky! South is definitely directional, but Southern would mean something from the South, so it isn't necessarily directing something. But, I have asked it in the Mods group just for confirmation. Will let you know what they say.

As a side note, it is roughly the middle of the February so now would be a good time to let me know what you want me to find/focus on, so I can search my books ;)"
Will do a mid-month post, but I think the biggest focus right now would be the mini - especially the trickier ones like the "herbs and spices" or the "mixers".
We are doing well on the cards, more than half way through - but there always can be some last week push to complete any pending cards. Will keep the team updated in advance.

I think as we move further through the month, it'll start getting obvious where we need to focus our sights! It's definitely worth knowing that there's options - it can be a bit of a challenge if our reading choices are disparate haha.
