Great review. I read The Last Dance in April this year. It was rhe first time I'd read Mark Billingham and I loved it. His humour and sarcasm really help elevate Detective Miller to one of my favourite characters

The Devil May Dance
by Jake TapperCharlie and Margaret Marder #2. Late 1961 - Mid 1962. Charlie and Margaret find themselves in L.A. hanging with Sinatra, Dino, Sammy and the rest of the Rat Pack; forced to investigate the Mob undercover for Bobby Kennedy while trying to find Margaret's missing niece. Much better than it's predecessor (Hellfire Club). Very exciting with lots of suspenseful twists and turns. And really interesting portraits of Sinatra and other Hollywood personalities, good and bad. I really liked it -- 4 stars.

Westport
by James ComeyFormer Assistant U.S. Attorney Nora Carleton is now chief counsel at a successful hedge fund, where she's tasked with secretly investigating financial crime.
Good book but the plot could be more exciting. 3 stars
