Thats a good idea and reasoning.

I'll be happy to read less quantity if I can up quality!! My favorite book published in 2023 was Carsten Jensen's We the Drowned (translated from Danish). I'd happily read just 20 books a year, if they were all that soulful and intellectually rigorous.
happy new years! my goals this year are to
1. read at least 24 books (cause it’s 2024)
2. annotate the hunger games series
3. write book report type things after finishing books.
wish everyone well!!

Also, I'd like to check out the latest Jack Reacher novel, and finish Clockwork Destiny by Kevin J. Anderson and the late great Neil Peart.

Hi, Sara! I've got some great non-fiction recs for you!
Archeology and Adventure: 1) River of the Gods: Genius, Courage and Betrayal in the Search for the Source of the Nile
Candice Millard, also 2) The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey, by Candice Millard, and 3) The Great Divide, by Cristina Henríquez
American History: Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President, by Candice Millard. (What can I say, she's brilliant)
