What are Your 2024 Reading Goals?

• To read 20 books, but i’ll be happy with anything over 15
• To read everything on my bookshelf I already have (No purchases)
• Read and look into more classic literature.

Last year I read 24 - my goal - one every 2 weeks. I made it - barely. Soooo, that's my goal this year, too :-)
I belong to 3 very different book clubs - I may need to give one or even 2 up. I simply cannot read my own books, or others that I would prefer. A conundrum. I like the people / socialization, but reality has set in - maybe I need to just do one and read what I truly enjoy reading. And I HATE DNF - I try to always avoid that.
I try to not buy any books - though I make exceptions for a couple of small indie book stores, local, to support them. All others are the public library.
Oh and to finish all those that I started - but never did complete, just to be clear :-)

- Purchase max 12 books (last year it helped me become more critic on which books I wanted to buy and which I could borrow or just didn't want to read in the end)
- Read less (45 instead of 50 or 60 as previous years), so I have more time for other things
- Read more from my physical TBR

- To read self help book
- To read atleast 20 books from my Tbr

I would like to read 60 books (I can only reach this when listen to audiobooks as well), read more from my physical tbr and finish/start some series I've been meaning to get to for a long time.
Happy reading!

My Goal lis to give a little detail on what I read in my reviews, I always forget lol

I try to read an author for each letter of the alphabet. I also try to read authors from around the world.
I’m retiring from teaching in May, so I will have more time to read.

~ get back to being a regular at my book club
~ read more than last year
~ discuss books with my soon to be son in law, who also loves to read
~ leave books to DNF if they don't grab me

Happy adventuring and a Happy New Year to you all :)

What about you guys!

my goals are:
- to read 20 books but any number will be fine, i sometimes get into a slump
- to read books on my shelf
- try not to buy new books but if i do it should be second hand
- i would like to listen to some more classic books, i started listening to audio books this year but only listen to classics (still prefer reading a physical book)
oh and I would like to make more friends to talk about books :)

But, I'd also like to read from genres that I typically wouldn't choose.
I'd like to work on reading more banned books and classics also.

I'm hoping to:
-Read the books I already own (no purchases).
-Explore more non-fiction historical, event-based themes and various literary cultural reads.
-Some memoir, some poetry.
I don't really focus on numerical goals, but I just barely made my yearly standard set of 24 books, in 2023. I had a difficult time concentrating and finding time. I was a bit behind in book clubs.
I'm looking forward to 2024 to bring much more reading love in my life for this year! Especially if I can finish most of the books on my current physical TBR shelf. I would feel so accomplished!
How about you?
