I'll definitely finish Ruby Fever - only 2 hours left in the audio :-)

Brigia | 51 comments Can we start books for March now? Or do we have to wait for March 1st for them to work?

Yes, you can start your books now!
I just finished the March Tracker, so plan away.
You can use any book that you started after February 1.

Great, thanks :)

I have started Final Offer, my last book on the spreadsheet, and I think I'm going to be able to finish it till Thursday. I had to remove How to Sell a Haunted House from the spreadsheet because I couldn't get a copy.

I'll be on vacation the first two weeks of March (yay :) I'll have my iPad with me, so updating shouldn't be a problem. I might not check in so often, though.

Oooh! Vacation!! Sounds fabulous.
If for whatever reason the spreadsheet is wonky on your ipad, you can always let me know, and I can update it for you.

Are you going anywhere fabulous?

Thanks :)

We're going to the Canary Islands and will hopefully get some sunshine!

message 160: by Ingeborg (new)

Ingeborg (redrum) | 410 comments Are we on track with the books that people have claimed, or do we need more books to fill the slots? I haven't put anything on the tracker since the last book I finished, but I can fit in one more book before the end of February. Currently reading Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries (Emily Wilde, #1) by Heather Fawcett and will have it done in a few days if needed, or can postpone till March if not. :)

It works for 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, Skip.

message 161: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments We are on track, except for the Green 7. I'm going to PM Melissa to see how she is doing.
7s seem to be the most difficult.
Would it be helpful for me to somehow show my thoughts on the rest of the books?
I could highlight them in yellow, and highlight the spot I'm thinking for them?

Actually, could you finish that one?
We could use an 8!
:)

message 163: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments The books I have in yellow are great to finish!
But if someone can't, maybe I can finagle!

message 164: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments Vicki, I don't see The North Woods on the tracker. Are you still able to read that this month? (It's on the mini).
I have a lot in yellow for you..... :)

message 165: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 510 comments I am JUST getting ready to leave to watch my grandkids, but by "tracker" do you mean where we list all of our books we plan to read? If so, I just now added it...just a brain fart. Sorry! Yes, I will read it. After today I will have a couple weeks without watching my grandkids since my SIL is off a job for a couple weeks due to their project ending. So I will be able to read a lot over the next few weeks, thankfully! lol

message 166: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 510 comments BTW, Melissa, I just came across a situation I haven't had until now. I am reading Fourth Wing and it's listed as having 498 pages (I think), but I'm reading the Kindle version and the pages are very different. It shows it's 663 pages, so my quotes are "off." Which page count do I use?

Sure, I'll add it to the tracker! :)

message 168: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments Perfect. I just realized we had a last draw 2, and that will work for it as it has both an 8 and a 3.
Thanks!

Good question. Can you search the Kindle for the page number on it?

message 171: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments I hope to hear from Melissa by tomorrow or so, but I have her book downloaded on my Kindle to get ready for a speed read if necessary!

I'll finish Lady Tan and The Wager (although I don't know if we will use it or not- and let's just say, they aren't drinking many cocktails...) by Thursday for sure.

The Kindle pages are fine. I don't see Fourth Wing in the mini - what quotes do you need to cite?

It's not in the mini, and I'm not looking for any quotes. I was only concerned about the page count. Some groups want the edition you're reading; others want the top one when you click on editions.

Melissa | 597 comments Hold onto the Fairies book Ingeborg! (If you haven't finished it already)

I think we have all of our cards finished!
I am going to double check today.
We just need two more of the mini to be done with February!! I think Vicki is cranking through those :)

Gwen|| Bookish Blondie (bookishblondie) | 48 comments I’ll hold off on my current read too. I just started it this morning.

message 184: by Jotsmar (new)

Jotsmar M | 19 comments hi melissa i just checked and i have one book that has black cover, and we can use for February mini, i will be able to read that one tomorrow

Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann

let me know!

message 185: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments I think we just need Vicki's for North Woods and Vicki's for Stone Blind.
We could all chant
VICKI

like at a basketball game or something :)
I will double check this afternoon though to make sure everything is in order.

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 510 comments Okay, team, are we in a race? I can read them both today if needed. I thought we had until the 29th so I was just pacing myself with other challenges. Advice?

Melissa | 597 comments No race!
Just giving you support ❤️

Oh no, I just finished my fairies book! But, it does fit for black cover, if we still need that? Then Jotsmar doesn't have to start any extra books. :)

message 192: by Ingeborg (new)

Ingeborg (redrum) | 410 comments Also, author last name starts with F (Fawcett), so you could pop it in for Vicki's Stone Blind and save that for March?

message 193: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments That works!
I’ll pop it in for Stone Blind

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 510 comments I moved my book Homecoming from February to March since it fits BLUE 3. I'll have my other 3 books finished on time by tomorrow night. I just need to check the time zone to make sure I'm done on time.

message 198: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments No problem!
You don't need to finish them!
We are all set, Vicki :)

message 199: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 510 comments Melissa, I see that you read The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder. I'll be reading it in March, so I was just wondering how you liked it.

message 200: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments It was really good. It was a break from my usual women writers / women empowered books - I don't think a woman was mentioned!
It was well written. and seemed to be well researched.
I listened to it. It was really helpful to have the Family Atlas out to follow their journey.
I paused it several times to say "wait, what?" and then look up some things on Wikipedia.
I'll be interested to hear what you think about it.
