Just noticed expedition to the rule was added but that’s not enough pages in it it’s only 92 pages and that’s why I didn’t Mention it and the chain hasn’t to be added iPad and spreadsheets don’t show very well. That’s why I’m asking team captains to do it.

Finally finished my first book. Such a waste I didn’t enjoy it but it’s over with and now I can finally get moving on some others!
Melissa wrote: "Ok so then I’ve got one for Herb/Spice. I’ll add the book to the spreadsheet tomorrow."Good find :)
For I, I have Isabel Allende (the wind knows my name) which I’ll be starting this week. I’ve just started Divine Might by Natalie Haynes and I’m sure I’ll find a fruit in there pretty quickly!

I found another one too! :)
I don't know if I'll get more than 2 more books done this month but if I can I'll see what else we need at the time.
If anyone is looking for a way to search their books or possible books for words using Google Books is a good way! You have to find the version that has a Preview and you can search for any word.
Hey Captains! I have a quick question. I'm not sure if things have changed from previous games but it used to be for Draw 2 cards you could use one book for 2 cards in that hand. On the planning spreadsheet it looks like in Hand 3 we have a Draw 2 but didn't use one book for 2 cards. Am I seeing this wrong or did something change? Sorry, I don't mean to poke my nose in LOL but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
I'll defer to Kirsten on that, I think you are right, but we won't fill out the draw 2 spot until the end in case we have to move books around last minute.
Hi, Melissa and Lisa-- I'm back! and it's good to hear from you, Melissa. Thanks.and yes, they are empty now for moving around at the end purposes.
Hello!I have assigned all books to a hand. If you have put a book on the spreadsheet and you don't think you will finish, please let us know so we can move things around sooner rather than later.
To complete all 15 hands we need books for the following: 7, 2, 4, 9, 3, 1, 2, 5, 5, 5.
For the Mini we are still needing:
Direction in Title - 1
AFN/ALN in FIND - 1
Black Cover - 1
Spirits - 2
Mixers - 3
Fruit - 2
We have 9 days left. Please add books that you've read to the spreadsheet or add a post here with all the details. We are doing great!
I just added the play I'm teaching tomorrow (I always forget about those), and it's starts with a V (for 7!) and has black writing on the cover, so I moved one of my black writing over to mixers. Thanks for this reminder, Lisa!
I have a book for each number left but just don’t want to commit as I did this last time and regretted it, I’m reading The Measure by Nikki Erlick
I’m 68% through the book and should be finished tomorrow
It works for stand alone (1) and E for surname (5) could work for 9 too for first name lol
I just added a few things that I have to read for other challenges or for work, so if they don't fit, I'm not worried about it! Thanks for the spreadsheet magic, Lisa.
Blame Lisa. I didn't have my notifications setup. I got them now. I've been adding my books to the spreadsheet.

I added a book in the march books section but I can't seem to add it in the march hands section. It was for the red three, if someone could possibly add it for me. Thanks
Leanne is Lisa’s mum ☺️ I’m going to finish the wind knows my name this weekend and then be ready to start a book for March!

Haha 😂😂 thought it was autocorrect so embarrassed

It felt weird going. Hey Leanne. LOL

Awesome~

Happy Friday, cardsharks!
We are in AMAZING shape! We're very nearly done with February (and still have 6 days to finish) and we can start planning for March. Thank you! Keep reading!
Here's what we have left (book title and the card it fits)
Kirsten--Waiting for the Flood (3H), Indecent
Leanne--The Spy Coast (6S)
Lisa--Dating Games (I5), Priest, Prick, and Princess (F4), Fairest of All (8E), Transposition (6S)
Melis--The Magnolia Palace (F4)
Rebecca--Heart of the Sun Warrior (6S), The Wind Knows My Name (Wild)
If you're not going to finish your book, don't worry! We just need to know so that we can move things around. We have a few unattached books, and sometimes people can add a book at the list minute. And, if you don't finish this month, we can hold it over for March.
I've been double-checking our Hands and the Mini, to make sure we've got what we need recorded. Can you please check this list and make these changes?
Shelf Updates
Leanne: Some Choose Darkness
Kat: The Measure
For the Mini
Lisa: add quote and page number for brandy in Perfect Xmas Gift and lemon in Serving Mr. Chamberlain
Rebecca: page number for apple in The Dig
We still need a mixer, so keep your eyes peeled!
Questions
Lisa, you have Forever Midnight from the Immortal Assassins series down as an I; I will finish Indecent in time and it can go into that slot.
I will be able to finish my book for sure! I’m not reading The Dig so I think that should be for someone else 😬
Melissa wrote: "I will be able to finish my book for sure! I’m not reading The Dig so I think that should be for someone else 😬"You are right! It's Rebecca. I edited it above.
I removed my Forever Midnight (Thanks I wasn't sure how I was going to get that one done. )Update Mini for Serving Mr Chamberian and His Perfect Christmas Gift

Yay, Lisa! I am so glad it worked out before you started reading it (and that I could take something off your very full plate).
Thanks Kirsten! My book The Lost Hours had “co-cola” “Coke” and “Lemonade” in it. We could move to Mixer if someone has a Herb/Spice in their book instead.

March Hands are UP! And we got a terrific hand--6 more point cards than last month. And we got 11 Draw 2s, which aren't good for points, but they do mean we have a lighter load. The spreadsheet has been updated: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... and there's more information here.
There's no rush, but please do take a look at the colored cards and see if you've got a book that will slot in. And feel free to claim any of the other special cards or just fill out the spreadsheet or add a completion post with all the options.

Melissa, I have a coriander in the book I'm reading, so unless I find a mixer in the next few days, I will flip our books.
(Coriander/cilantro is an ingredient in the Mumbai Mule and Mumbai Mojtio (which I've had), and the Coriandrum).

Yes, to 4 Blue (and thanks!); there’s not enough yellow (needs 50%) in the book.

Thought the book cover I showed was 50% no worries :)

Maybe there's a different cover I didn't see? This looks like about half yellow, but the man's body is covering most of that?

I will take this to the captain's group--I should have done that earlier, and I'm sorry.

It doesn’t look yellow enough to me.
ETA: oops sorry didn’t see Kirsten’s reply.
