I have been considering this genre for a bit and what its equivalent in western comics might look like. Josei is a demographic type of genre for graphic novels designed for older woman dealing less with pop romance often seen in Shojo and more about actual relationships and issues an adult might have to deal with.
In Western comics there may be graphic novels more likely to be read by one gender or another but in general they are more focused on the age range of the reader. I can imagine books dealing with a female perspective, relationships, and possibly social issues might qualify though there is no solid guideline to prove thus with men and women enjoying such stories.
If I was going to suggest some comics for the genre I would say look to Image Comics who have an assortment of titles including Monstress, Bingo Love, Unnatural, and Saga.
Honestly it doesn't really matter because this is all a personal challenge for each of you and might have your own opinion as such but if you are interested any of the above series you should check them out. :)

I have been considering picking it up again myself. It is an amazingly illustrated dark fantasy with good world building from what I remember. :)

Either would be good for me. I have been falling behind in reading anyway lol.
Next year I will continue the Scrabble Scramble with the new Wildcard rule allowing you to sacrifice a letter for a letter slot worth 0 points to make it easier to make words while also reducing points because it is like a blank tile in regular Scrabble. If only I could figure a way to add bonus points too.
