Since I'm reading a long fantasy novel with a bookclub that is not blue or white, I'm going with two (easy I think) kindles I have- a cozy and a contemporary:

Looks like some good reading ahead. I still need to pick. Denise, your pick is on my TBR as well. Martha, I love the early Reacher books -- wild rides!

Still Alice is very good
Jennifer wrote: "I read that a year or two, Jackie, and liked it very much."I've had it at the house for a LONG time, so it will be good to finally read it.
I added 2 more books to message 5. One was a Christmas gift and the other was an Amazon Prime Free book. Amazon is doing 2 free books in January. The other one I chose was a Dean Koonz book.
I added another sky blue to message 2 as I just started it. There are a lot that fit these colors. :-)

I never did get my picks posted, but the first book I'm reading this year fits:

I finished my first book of the year and it fits with our colors this month. It was my first Luanne Rice book and I gave it 4 stars.

I agree, really liked that cover.
The Ocean House is a real hotel. Rates begin at $455 to $7,100 per night. I'm sure that I won't be staying there, but the photos look lovely.
Finished my "sky blue" cover for January:
The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery - 4* - My Review
A WIN! A win! A review from Joy that made me want to add the book and the book is already on my TBR!

It was OK and worked for me as a between harder book read, but didn't love it enough to continue the series- this one was free as a Prime read.

An easy read with enjoyable characters, family drama, friendship.
I finally finished one of mine -
. 4 stars. Took a minute for the different threads in the story to connect, but once they did it was great. Off to a slow start due to a bad case of covid.
Finished a 3rd one ...
This may be it for me. Although I do have a couple more that would fit, but I should move on to February.
I did finish one more
this morning. So I really am done now and moving on to the February books. I don't believe I've ever completed 4 books for a color challenge! I guess taking a year off was a good thing. LOL
