her mom disappears, she travels to another planet (earth?) lands in france. meets boy named leo (i think is an engineer/mechanic), leo’s gf-that-isnt-his-gf doesnt like her. i read it about 3 years ago and at that point the sequel/third book i dont remember wasnt out, but i forgot the title and want to finish! please help :)

Just to be sure, the MC is from a fictional planet, but the plot happens in a real one (in-universe, I mean)?

i think i read it maybe 3-5 years ago, and yes. she is from a planet written into existence, and she i think runs to earth to try and find her mother (who has disappeared). also, i think that she has like abilities also written by the book… like she can pick up languages fully within minutes.
