Great discussion. I enjoyed hearing about how it was planned with a certain number of books in the series but his contract changed that.

He has definitely told the Myke Cole death metal story before, and the story about finding "an iPod or something".

He talked about choosing a POV character based on who has agency, or who has felt the most pain. That word choice makes me suspect that he has either listened to the Writing Excuses podcast or has been inspired by the same source as they were inspired by.

Great interview and thanks for asking my tattoo question! I love seeing the ink and other art he posts, I think it would be cool to get inked based on these books in particular but it's hard not to be biased based on the work of others. Also love the idea of Lego creations... :)

There seemed to be an echo this time that made it a little hard to listen with headphones but it was ok on the iPhone speaker. Never noticed that before so not sure what happened.

It was an artifact of the time travel. The farther you travel the worse it is.

What's he talking about no 16 sided dice!! I have quite a few d16's and they are available from most of the big manufacturers.

Yes, there was an echo that was picked up somewhere, and editing it out would have been very time consuming. I'm not BLAMING the guest, but....... BUT.........
