"Well just look at the bright side." He said softly. "We got away safely, and we're miles from the danger. "We're okay." He smiled convincingly at her, before he looked up and smiled. "There..." he pointed to a person sitting down by one of the little house.

She nodded and started to walk to the small house. 'Maybe it's not that bad as I thought.' She thought to herself. She walked up to the person, but wanted London to talk.
"Hey, Conner." He said stopping in front of him. "Been awhile."
"Well then." Conner got to his feet as he saw them. "Look who it is. "You know I was beginning to think I would never see you again. "And who is this?
"Um...this is Sira." He said a bit awkwardly. "My uh...new charge."

"Um...this is Sira." He said a bit awkwardly. "My uh...new charge."
She stared at Conner and wasn't sure what to think of him. "Hi, like he said, I'm Sira and his charge." She said confidently. "It's very nice to meet you and we were wondering if we can stay here since our cabin got destroyed." She said politely.
Conner looked over at her again and smiled, before nodding his head.
"Well of course." He said and laughed slightly. "I can't very well have you two wondering about with no where to go. "Especially a beautiful girl like you." London narrowed his eyes at him for a moment, before calming himself.
"Look we just need a place to stay for a little bit until we figure out where else to go." He said. "Obviously I wouldn't be here if it wasn't important."

She could tell Conner was the arrogant type. She let out a sigh. She didn't prefer to stay with arrogant men. "Let's just get inside before the wind makes us into sand dunes." She blurted out.
Conner smiled and nodded as he led them inside the house.
"The guest room is down the hallway." He pointed. "There's only one bed, but since London doesn't sleep..."
"Thanks." London said as he led her down the way toward the room.

"Thanks." London said as he led her down the way toward the room.
"Thank you." She said more politely to him before she followed London to the room. "Yeah. I can tell you two are best friends. You two are radiating friendship." She said with a smirk.
"Like I said if it wasn't an emergency, we wouldn't be here." He said as they got into the room. "Conner is....someone I use to work with. "We sort of parted on bad terms."
"What kind of bad terms?" She looked into the room and realized that there wasn't much space. She sighed and put the backpack down besides the bed.
He blew out a breath and plopped down on the bed.
"Conner was one of the recruits that I had trained." He said quietly. "He was.... one of the top students. "And so they assigned me to be his...partner. "I was to show him the ropes, what he would be doing. "But it turned out, he liked to go around a lot or rules that never, ever should be gone around."

"I see how you two went your separate ways." She said. She sat on the bed next to him. "It won't be that long we stay here. I really think I should seal the gates very soon." Sira said.
"Yeah..." He said with a sigh. He sat there for a moment, before he looked over at her. "You know....that's going to be a lot more dangerous then the passed few days combined...."
"I know, but I have nothing to leave for... Might as well go down with a bang no one will notice." She smirked slightly and laid back in the bed with a sigh.
His eyes widened as he heard that, pressing his lips together and clenching a fist at his side before he got to his feet and went over to the window.
"Please...don't talk like that." He said very quietly.
"Please...don't talk like that." He said very quietly.
She got quiet when she remembered his old lover. "Sorry." She said regretting saying. Of course, she didn't regret saying it. She put her head on the bed and let out a small sigh. "But, I'll have to seal the gates eventually."
"People will notice." He said taking in a deep breath. "You may not think so, but they will." He turned around to face her again. "And when you it comes time, you wont be there alone. "I'll make sure you come out of it."
She was quiet. She imagined herself falling from the sky once she finished the seal, like the other Daughter of the Sky. She nodded though. She sat up and got off the bed. She walked toward him and hugged him.
He didn't hesitate this time as she hugged him, he hugged her back. Hugging her close to him and closing his eyes tightly. He had been feeling the need to protect her more so then he had to, and he knew why. And he was struggling with whether or not to let her know.
She was surprised he hugged back at all. She expected him to just pat her back or something and let her do all the hugging part. She smiled slightly though, lifting her spirits. "Thank you." She said.
He was about to say something when Jensen popped up.
"You are being called." He said handing him a small hand mirror. London sighed heavily and pulled away taking the mirror and tapping his finger on it.
"Yes sir?" He said very attentive, standing up straight as he saw his face pop up in the mirror again.

She glanced at Jensen and to London. She inched toward Jensen and whispered. "Who's calling him? And what's it about?" She asked.
"His boss." He whispered back to her, as he gently pulled her a bit more away. "He's....checking in on him. "He's the one that gave him the second chance, so basically making sure he hasn't...reverted back."
"Oh." She said simply and watched London talk. She started to feel guilty for loving him before having what he had been through and not allowed to love someone like her. 'So selfish.' She thought.
After a few more minutes of talking he hung up and London sighed setting the mirror to the side.
"It's always over the top with him." He said leaning against the wall.
"It's always over the top with him." He said leaning against the wall.
All she could do was nod. "I see..." She sat down on the bed, careful not to knock over the mirror. She honestly wanted to curl up on the bed and do nothing, but had to act strong. "What did he say?"
Jensen took the mirror and smiled at them before disappearing again. London came over and sat down beside her, before plopping down backwards and closing his eyes.
"He's checking on me." He said quietly. "In his words, making sure I haven't screwed up again." He scoffed and shook his head.
"He's checking on me." He said quietly. "In his words, making sure I haven't screwed up again." He scoffed and shook his head.
"Did you tell him that the cabin was burned down and the ward disappeared therefore bringing all the demons in. Then we had to room with someone you know in a desert?" She said flatly. She glanced back at him and smiled. "Just kidding. You are doing a good job."
"Helpful." He said with a sigh and took in a deep breath. "I feel like I've already screwed up." He tilted his head and looked over at her. "But you know what, we're okay and safe...for now." He sighed and ran a hand down his face.
She plopped down on the bed besides him with a sigh. "You're really good at what you do London. I hate that they think you are a screw up even though your amazing. I'm pretty sure we'll both be fine." She glanced at him and smiled.
He smiled slightly.
"Your pretty great yourself..." he said before he realized what he said and sat up quickly, and changed the subject. "Hey, you know I think you have the basics down. "But there are a few things you should know about the demons."

She frowned slightly when he changed the subject quickly. She didn't comment on it though. She looked at him and crossed her arms. "Okay. What about the demons?"
"Well first, kind of an obvious one." He said. "But never trust a demon, no matter what they offer you or show you. "They'll use whatever means they can to trick and confuse you but you can't let them. "They'll trap you in illusion spells, make you see your worst fear or thoughts. "But you can get out of it easily if you concentrate. "Ground yourself, like when you put your energy into your hands, only do it into your feet."
She nods. "Have you even seen your worst thoughts and fears before by a demon?" She spoke up, half curious about what his worst fear is. She wasn't sure what it was, but a demon might.
He hesitated before he answered, but the nodded his head slowly.
"I have." he whispered. "They somehow know what it is your afraid of or....the worse thing you think of the most." He cleared his throat. "It's....terrifying..."

She was about to ask what it is when she thought better of it. "Okay. I'll watch out for that." She said with a nod. "Do you think I can defeat a demon?"
He smiled and nodded his head reassuringly.
"You've done it already." He said proudly. "I know you can do it again. "As long as you believe you can."
"You've done it already." He said proudly. "I know you can do it again. "As long as you believe you can."
She nods. "Alright." She stands up, but at the same time her stomach growls. "Sorry. Sorry." She said quickly. She slightly felt embarrassed. "Uh. Should we tell Conner about the call?" She asked.
"Conner doesn't need to know anything more then he has to." He shook his head. "It's bad enough we had to come here in the first place." He bit his lip as he looked back out the window. "You should eat something if your hungry, we have plenty of time right now."
"Fine." She grabbed her baggy and opened it to get the food she had quickly thrown in out. She sat on the bed and ate. "How much time do we really have?"
"At least a few hours before we have to move again." He said looking around out the window. "We have to figure out where to go from here though, somewhere we can definitely lay low until... your ready."
"Hopefully people will let us stay. Can't you walk up to people and will them to help you? If you can, that will be easier to find a house." She said finishing up.
"We're not allowed to bend peoples wills." He said shaking his head. "But we can persuade them if we need to. "Silver tongue you know..." He smiled and laughed lightly.
She smiled and laughed slightly as well. She put the food back in the bag. "I'll rest once it's a good time." She said with a small sigh. She looked at him.
"You can rest now if you want." He said giving her a small smile. "You definitely deserve it...and it has been another long day. "And I can wake you up in a little while if you want."
She sighed again, but nodded. She positioned herself correctly on the bed and let out a small breath. "Thank you for saving me... Good night." She said softly and fell asleep.
He wasn't sure what to really think as he watched her for a moment, but he quickly shook himself and silently left the room. He didn't want to bother her before he needed to.
She had forced herself into a sleep because she needed it. Again, her pillow was pressed against her in attempt to comfort her just in case she had a nightmare.
"So they gave you another one?" Conner said smirking, his arms crossed leaning against the wall.
"Don't start with me right now." He said walking passed him.
"Oh please with the tough guy attitude." He said rolling his eyes. "Didn't work for her, and it wont work for this one. "I'll take her off your hands if you want." London froze in his tracks and quickly flipped around and punched him square in the nose. Conner yelp in surprise and pain, and flew back and hit the wall.
