Yep, totally agree Lis :)
I just finished these last year, so it's a bit too soon for a reread for me. I'm a little bummed that I'm not reading along, but I'm going to be checking in from time to time.
That's a shame Zen, glad you liked them last year :DPlease feel free to jump into the discussion at any time.
I finished the series (or at least the first story arc) last year, they are amazing!! Have fun and enjoy!
Well I've read
and loved it all over again. First read in 2009 for me as well.Such a very unique take on Angels & Vamps, not to mention the Hunters.
First time reading this red cover edition (I've got both paperbacks).
So hard not to jump into #2!!!!
I’m into book 1 right now. Can’t believe how much I’d forgotten or maybe misremembered? Either way, love!
I'm not finished reading the series yet but I plan to start rereading it as soon as I am done. I started reading another book, but it just doesn't hit the same way as guild hunter books do and I miss the Raphael and elena + the 7. I did have a question; does each month correlate to each book like for January-you can only discuss Angel's book?
Hi Zee. Happy to have ya join us! We, as a group, spotlight a book a month starting in Jan with book 1 thru Dec with book 12. But, you’re welcome to read ahead and chat about any of the books in the series at any time. If you read ahead, in case others haven’t read yet gotten to that book, we ask you put spoiler blocks on anything that might spoil them.
I loved the first half of the series, but couldn't finish the last book that I started. I think I just wasn't in the mood at the time, and haven't been excited to get back to it.

I think I just wasn't in the mood at the time, and haven't been excited to get back to it."I actually felt like that at the beginning of the series but after Dmitri's book and Archangel's Legion I became invested in E +R and now I am hooked. I will say I keep thinking I will lose interest because Nalini ends up surprising me with her plots/stories.
Finished Archangel's Storm; such a sad, but touching story. I was always so intrigued by Jason being so very quiet. Can I just say that, so far, I've rated all books 5-stars on my re-read. I've had SUCH fun with these. Diving back into this world is a joy. So much so that it's very hard waiting for each month to roll around so I can keep reading. I'm really taking my time, reading as slowly as possible, and catching some things I think I might've missed during my first read (when I'm sure I flew through them, impatiently). Or, I could've just forgotten certain bits and bobs b/c it's been a decade or more between first and re-read. Either way --- I'm loving them!
PS: In Nalini's newsletter ...."... the Guild Hunter series is starting to come to a close, but this wasn't the final book. I will warn you ahead of time when that time comes.
The next book is, as promised, a second Aodhan and Illium story."
Sad it's confirmed that the series is coming to a close, but thrilled there's a bit more to come and that she's said she's let us know when it is the end. But, I'm so happy to be getting more Aodhan and Illium!
