I want to know why everyone is dissing the book. You can tell me but don't include any spoilers because I'm not finished with the book yet:)

It's very hard to explain why a book is bad if you don't want to know details.....But basically the problem is that Roth didn't write the series as a whole. The last one was thrown together after the first two were finished, with no deep thought to where it was headed.
It reads like an entirely different story than the previous books, and things that happen in Allegiant make the entire premise of Divergent completely implausible. In other words, if things were the way that they turn out to be in Allegiant, Tris never even would have been born. Or at least she wouldn't have lived in the world that she did. Because none of it would have ever had the chance to happen.
Again, it's hard to explain without giving details.
Also, Roth attempts to use science, but it's glaringly obvious that she doesn't have a clue about science because her explanations don't make any sense.
The ending which most people hated, was pointless and an obvious attempt to make a point. There was no justification and the way it happens is entirely unrealistic.
To name a few problems.

I found it repetitive (another corrupt leader?? Again???) but the main bad point for others (I was okay with it) is a major spoiler so can't really tell you it.
Honestly, I found the first 2/3 of the book to be boring and kind of annoying. I wasn't upset with the ending, I just wished I didn't have to force myself to read the book just to get to it.
This was different than first 2 books, which I loved.
This one seemed a mess, I didn't like it, not because of the ending though, it just seemed like it was thrown together without much thought - just my opinion.

It's impossible to tell you why i didn't like it without spoilers, so I'll just put it with the spoiler thingy and you can read it later. (view spoiler)
it's very different than the other 2 - you're takign to a completely different perspective of how things are and what made them that way and you're introduced to an entirely new set of characters which makes it feel a bit different. the fact that we get an unexpected ending is also the biggest thing that caused people to be a bit upset about where it went, but i think that you really just have ot take it for what it's worth and know that it's a story that can't always be so predictable .
Some people hate it because of the ending. I was very sad, but I couldn't hate the book I just couldn't hate the book.
I actually wasn't bothered by the end. What bothered me was the writing in two different points of view. Tris and Tobias didn't have distinct enough personalities in their viewpoints for me to be able to tell whose point of view I was reading at any given point in time. Writing in different points of view is very difficult to get right, and Roth just wasn't able to pull it off.
Also, I felt the whole reason behind the people being trapped inside the city was kind of dumb and felt like it was pretty much pointless. It was almost as if she didn't know what she was going to write and just threw something down on the paper.

Yeah, the POVs were so similar that often forgot who was narrating, even after (view spoiler)/

this book makes me happy sad and thrilled many parts are adrenaline filled but i think people wanted a child from tobi and tris with an aptitude for all five types or something like that. when they found that Eve and Mark consolidate without voilence they think this is a bad story to tell.
I somewhat dissed it cause it made my head hurt a lot more than the other two. And once strong characters were broken in ways I never thought they could be.
Without spoilers it's impossible. Let's just say the ending pisses most people off while I actually quite enjoy it.
Yeah..I just finished reading it again and I've been hearing how everyone says they don't like it. The first time I read it, I loved the ending because it was just so truthful. And the second time- I still loved it!

It's because of the ending. I loved it, though, so to each their own. :)
