I screwed up.

I spent part of the holidays reading the reviews of my books. What jumped out at me were the consistent comments on grammar issues. So, one of my resolutions for 2024 was to do something about that - the whole learning from mistakes thing. Toward that end, I downloaded the free version of Grammarly and turned it loose on my books. I spent much of the past week finding and fixing an impressively disturbing number of grammar bugs and typos. So far, so good.

Then I made my big mistake - I went and delisted all of my books - and forgot there were still reviews in progress here. Experience tells me it will be a few weeks before I can get them back in print. Until then, the Amazon pages are gone, though they are still here on Goodreads.

So since your books are no longer available on Amz, for the remaining two people who need to review you this round, I am going to mark them complete with only a GR review for your book this round. If they are able to cross post the Amz review once you get the books back up, that is lovely and thoughtful of them, but in order to make sure we don't create a burdensome situation on other members wrt not being able to sign up for new rounds or on mods keeping track, their obligation to the round will be done after their GR review is posted.

That works for me. I have been kicking myself for that oversight. On the bright side, the greatly improved grammar should be a plus in future reviews.

I found this to be quite fascinating. There is a megalomaniac billionaire, shadowy conspiracies and some ordinary people who are trying to make it day by day. The main character was very relatable because he is one of the ordinary people just trying to keep it together.

The billionaire has a rather unique plan to save Planet Earth from climate disaster, which he is able to make sound like a good idea. The plot has a lot of ins and outs, which seemed to be realistic, human nature being what it is.

I recommend this for anyone who enjoys a good thriller with a touch of Science Fiction.

In my first review for this book, I used the word “Nazi”. It was the only thing I could see that might “offend” someone. Not that I said anything favorable about Nazis. I went to the link, and I couldn’t see what applied to my latest review (above).

Hi Wayne! Just guessing... but I suspect this is being scanned by a bot and you are being caught up by keywords, which they've gotten pickier on recently. Definitely "Nazi" would be a word to avoid even when used in a historical context. Other words in your review that I would consider removing: conspiracies, climate disaster.

I recognize that you are simply reviewing the plot for what it is. But the bots, not being smart, might be looking at your keywords and coming up with something very different from what you intend.
