It was one of those "do this, go to page ***" type books. It was set in a futuristic world with robots and aliens. There may have been a blue person on the cover. In the book you were a detective and your job was to find a stolen crystal, I think. There were three suspects, one was an alien that lived underwater, the second made sculptures of impossible shapes, I don't remember the third.

Maybe something from the Be an Interplanetary Spy Series?One of the books in that series, The Star Crystal has a blue alien on the cover.
