As authors what are you expecting when people review your books? As reviewers, what is the best way you found to write your reviews?

I review almost every book I read, but then, I'm an author and know how important reviews are. But realistically, I don't expect much, because most readers don't seem to write reviews. So therefore, I hope a reader who has just finished a book will leave a few comments about their reading experience before they move on.As a reader who writes reviews, I avoid repeating a summary of the book. I say what I liked about the book, and what didn't work for me.
I am thankful for reviewers, as it takes time and effort.I love to read how my books affect the readers, in terms of plot and characters, or basically everything else. I don't have certain expectations.
To summarize, I love to know what readers think. Personally, reviews are extremely helpful because I don't have anyone in my circle that I can ask, so I rely everything on actual readers out there.
Reviews make my day! Every single one. :) Readers are amazing and they make my world go round. What do I expect? The reader's reaction, however they interpret that. Reviews are mostly for other readers.
When I review a book, I try (sometimes fail but I try) to say what other book this book reminds me of. Or what vibe it has. I try to convey without spoilers what the reading experience was.
But everyone is different.
Thank you for considering how to leave reviews! :)
