SarahKat, I had The Chalk Man on my October list already for its orange cover. I would be happy to read it with you.
Since we'll be winding up the Washington Poe series in October, I'm suggesting starting the Adrian Fluke series (2 books) by the same author in November. Nov - Born in a Burial Gown by M.W. Craven

Dom and I had The Chalk Man on our list to read this year. We are in for October.
Suggestions for October: Along the Razor's Edge
Dangerous Minds: A Forensic Psychiatrist's Quest to Understand Violence
Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst
The Memory Code
Did anyone confirm A Visit From the Goon Squad in November? I only saw the post about it today. I'd love to read it then.
I'm suggesting Finn: A Novel by Jon Clinch for November. This is a modern-day backstory for Huck Finn's father, Pap Finn. I encourage anyone interested to read the reviews. (One reviewer said, "The book is not supremely graphic in its gore, but it does contain multiple murders, one of which includes body dismemberment, and the sexual abuse of both an adult and a child, and something about how these scenes were written stayed with me.")
In spite of that, I'm curious enough to go for it. There are a lot of positive reviews, and this seems like a logical next book after TAoHF this month and James in October.
