SOLVED. 80s Children/YA trilogy of siblings forming a band [s]

I'm trying to track down a trilogy I read as a child and have been unable to find since. It's an American trilogy about siblings forming a band. In the first volume they somehow have a hit song and get a record deal. Over the course of the trilogy they become world famous and then the whole thing crashes into arguments before they break up in the final volume. I'm fairly certain it was published in the late 80s and the kids were siblings in one family. HELP!

It was a group of siblings, boys and girls but can't remember how many. Three or four I think. One became really big headed after they became famous. It was set in the present (at the time) in the USA, moving to a big city and touring worldwide as they became more famous. I think it had vinyl records as part of the cover design and pastel colours for the backgrounds.

Todd Strasser has a trilogy from the 80s about a teenage rock band. I don't know if they're siblings or not. (edit: they're not)

Rock 'n' Roll Nights is the first one. Sequels are Turn it Up and WILD LIFE

Edit: book two in this series is listed on GR as Gib Power. Perhaps reissued w/ different title?

That's the one! Thanks so much for working it out from so few clues especially my false memory that they were siblings! Now to find a copy of the trilogy to relive part of my childhood. I'm incredibly grateful!
