Shirley (shlrley) | 1 comments There may have been 2 or 3 of this style of book by the same author(s). I remember reading this/these book(s) when I was a kid around 5-9 years old (2005-2009 ish).

The book was bought in China, and the language was Chinese. It could have been a book published in China, or it could have been a Chinese translation. The only reason why I think it might be a translation is because it had some cartoon pictures of different locations like France (I think I remember the Louvre), and possibly cruise ships? However, I think there were also some locations in China.

This book did not have plots/main characters. It was a non-fiction style book with cartoons. I believe the book kind of explained how different things worked (like how ships worked or how a building works) through cartoons. However I'm not entirely confident about these details.

The most distinctive part of this book was the occasional full-two-page layouts of cartoons of the insides of buildings. For example, it would show an eagle's eye view of different rooms in a big ship and show all the people doing their own things in the rooms. You could see through the walls, and see what an ordinary person or the ship captain or the staff were doing.

You could look at each little cartoon person, and I believe there were prompts for you to find different people like you would in a "Where's Waldo" type book.

I remember it being one of my favourite books as a kid and the images are still etched into my head today. I've been so unsuccessful in finding the book on my own but I hope someone here would have also come across this book in their life.
