Making Faces by Amy Harmon5 stars.
Such a good book about life, love, frindship, growth, loss, insecurities and self love.
Read it.
The Pumpkin Spice Cafe, and I gave it 3.5 ⭐ because Logan is a d**k, but I liked the cosiness and Jeanie's character.
Their Chosen Way, Ben Carlyle (book 3 of the trilogy - The Roads Chosen) - 4 stars; fast-paced thriller based upon societal issues that exist with the former Soviet states. I'm a GR friend of a woman who knows the author! The author spent more than a decade in the FSU and I accepted when reading book 1, what happens in this trilogy, happens today. It's a profound and deeply concerning story.
Countdown
4.5 stars for me.
Read as a free review copy. NetGalley.
Fast paced thriller. Conspiracy theory.

Just finished Phantoms are Forever ( Confessions of a Closet Medium #9) by Nyx Halliwell. 5 stars, such a fun read!
On the Road, Kerouac. 3 stars...but 2 would have been more fitting. It's a mess; incoherent thoughts, run-on sentences like no other, confusing dialog and the story is just plan stupid and pathetic.
Diana William and Harry by James Patterson and I rate it a 3/4. It lacked a little more insight into their lives together and the real turmoil going on with the brothers.
A Bell for Adano by John Hersey, winner of the 1945 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. 4/5 stars
Adapted into a movie that was also released in 1945 starring John Hodiak, Gene Tierney and William Bendix.
The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena. 3⭐ The predictable plot and lack of tension failed to captivate me.
Dating App

The Girls of Atomic City: The Untold Story of the Women Who Helped Win World War II
A good story. I found it difficult to read: the story jumps about too much.
A cookbook. French Countryside Cooking by Daniel Galmiche.
I've not made every recipe in it yet, still working my way through, but the ones I've tried have been so delicious, and I will be giving it a 5-star review.
The byline states "Inspirational dishes from the forests, fields, and shores of France." Which has been fun to try the recipes using ingredients that are "harvested" accordingly, a unique approach to cooking that I have never really considered before.
I just finished The Exorcist by Blatty. If you haven't read it and are curious, I wrote a detailed review of it on my blog. Meanwhile, I'll be moving on to his other two books, definitely⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Land Below
3 star
Short book. Creature feature. Adventure. Lost world inspiration.
Inspired by German legends of wyrm, a German dragon legend.
1-2 hour read.
My review - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Why am I only now discovering this author and book? This question kept popping up in my mind as I read, impressed page after page by Blatty's mastery in creating original and realistic descriptions and comparisons (seriously, I reread some of the phrases two or three times); by his ability to paint vivid pictures with words; and by his deep exploration of the characters' psychology – something I particularly love encountering in books. And last but not least, his skill in weaving profound knowledge into the plot, so that at no point do you doubt that it originates from the character rather than from the author's research... 5 starIf you're interested, you can find my full review on my blog: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
