Dystopian Fans, I Need You — Read The Heart of the Troll Early!
Do you like dystopian stories that include…
➤ Genetic edits
➤ Class divide
➤ A reluctant hero & an outsider heroine
➤ Underground resistance
➤ Surprising twists
➤ Humanism vs. Rationalism
➤ Fast-paced action & thought-provoking dialogue
Then The Heart of the Troll: A Fast-Paced Dystopian Thriller of Genetic Edits, Social Control, and the Fight for Freedommight be your next favorite read.

I'm thrilled to share my second book — The Heart of the Troll: A Fast-Paced Dystopian Thriller of Genetic Edits, Social Control, and the Fight for Freedom.
It’s the first book in a planned duology and is now available for ARC readers on NetGalley, BookSirens, and BookSprout — and available for pre-order on Amazon.
📲 You can find it there or just DM me for a direct link if you prefer!
💖 I’m really excited and have poured so much effort and emotion into this… including tearing my nerves apart with the formatting! 😅
💻 Luckily, my husband is an IT guy and a wonderful person. Not once did he say:
“Is it really that important to have emojis in your book?!” 🤣
So, dear lovely people, I truly hope my book grabs your attention and that you enjoy it! 🙏📖
🌟 I made this map for you to give a glimpse of what to expect from The Heart of the Troll.
And here’s the blurb:
In a world where science is the new religion and health is a monopoly, only the obedient survive.
After climate disasters and a global health collapse, salvation comes with the “Pharma Care” reform: genetic edits, monthly boosters, and mandatory screenings — all tracked through a health file implanted in every citizen’s hand. Comply — you stay in the city. Refuse — you become a renegade.
Ernest Goodman tries to follow the rules — until his time starts running out. Divorced and stuck in his mother’s basement, he works as a paid troll in the Global Network. His 3D-printed heart is failing, but a chance for a real one appears — at a terrifying cost.
His path crosses with Grace Holly, an eccentric bookseller determined to uncover the truth behind her father’s murder and his final message.
Do the Troll and the bookseller stand a chance in a world where social responsibility is law, propaganda is deafening, and survival of renegades plays out in the reality show “Rumble for Crumble” — where the prizes are essentials, but death is all too possible?

Help me choose a cover for my second book

Hello, lovely people! 🙌 I need your help! 🫣 🙂
I'm choosing the cover for my second book —
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹, a 𝙙𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧 (and the first part of a duology) — and I’d love your help!
I'm sharing three cover drafts that my husband (who’s been an incredible help ❤️), our amazing artist, and I are currently debating.
➡️ These are not final versions, just work-in-progress options, but I hope they capture the book’s main vibe.
➡️ Which one catches your eye the most?
➡️ Which would you click on if you were scrolling through Amazon?
Your help means a lot to me! 🙏 Thank you so much in advance if you take a minute to share your thoughts.
Scroll down for a short summary of the plot — in case it helps with your choice. 💬
....
Blurb:
𝙄𝙣 𝙖 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙮, 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙚.
After climate disasters and health crises, salvation comes with the “Pharma Care” Reform — monthly boosters, mandatory screenings, and genetic edits, all tracked through a digital health file implanted in the right hand. 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀.
Earnest Goodman is divorced, lives in his mother’s basement, and works as a Troll in the global network. He is a manipulator due to circumstances and a cynic by choice. In his chest beats a 3D-printed heart with an expiration date. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 — 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁.
His choice brings him face-to-face with bookseller Grace Holly — a weirdo in her own right, determined to decode the final message from her father, the murdered leader of the dissenters.
𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 — 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 “𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲” 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.
Do the Troll and the bookseller stand a chance in a world where social responsibility is law, propaganda is deafening, and the survival of renegades plays out in the reality show “Rumble for Crumble” — where the prizes are essentials, but a fatal end is all too possible?

The struggles of a beginner writer

I decided to share some of the struggles of a beginner writer... :)
So, here’s the thing – this is exactly how I looked on Sunday, just like the girl in the picture, when my laptop suddenly turned off and refused to turn back on.
“You’ve saved your dystopia online, right?” my husband asked.
“Umm…” I replied, staring blankly at him.
He immediately knew what that reaction really meant.
Tomorrow, the first workday of the week, I’ll take it to a repair shop to save my dystopia—the one I recently shared with you all. That, however, didn’t calm me down one bit. I kept thinking about how uncertain it was whether they could retrieve the 90 pages of my first draft. And so it began—the crying, the lamenting, the doubts, the reassurances...
Eventually, my husband went to the nearby mall to get... a device to connect the laptop’s hard drive and save my dystopia. He also bought me a new laptop since, well, I need one. By the time he returned, I had cleaned the entire apartment, driven by my nerves, while cheerful children’s songs played in the background, courtesy of my daughter’s playlist.
“Is your husband an IT specialist or something?” he said as he transferred my dystopia and all my other files from the hard drive to the new laptop.
I thanked him, jumped for joy, and celebrated...
Friends, my husband is my hero.
Now, share your heroic story!

New Year, New Project

"He didn't care how many fools would fall for his latest manipulation.
In the end, he wasn't to blame for the existence of so many unenlightened and gullible individuals. A few clicks separated them from the truth, a truth that hadn’t changed much in the last 50 years, even thoughthe world had always been heading to hell.
It was as if, in spite of everything they tried to convince us of through televisions and the global network, where the Troll also played his part.
In fact, he thought, people didn’t want to be informed, because that implied that after gathering enough data, they would make a choice, a choice made through thinking and filtering arguments. No, they wanted excuses to make uninformed, uncritical decisions. They wanted someone to think for them. To take care of them instead of them. Their secret, unspoken desire came true after the Reform."

Pre-Christmas Promotion :)

Here is a slightly imperfect photo of my debut novel. 😊 😄
I’m not someone who often posts pictures on social media — perhaps I’m a bit of an introvert. The lighting isn’t perfect, but I wanted our Christmas tree as the sole background since we’re in the middle of a renovation. I also made an effort to hide my left index finger — it’s still recovering after a close encounter with a door. Thankfully, it survived, and I’m already working on my second book! I hope you’ll overlook the flaws in the photo and appreciate the effort behind this post.
The eBook version of my novel is on promotion from December 14 to 17 on Amazon.com (09:00 AM PST - 11:00 PM PST) and Amazon.co.uk (09:00 AM GMT - 11:00 PM GMT) for just $0.99 and £0.99, respectively. Alternatively, you can give it a try for FREE with Kindle Unlimited.
I’d be thrilled if my book piques your interest, and even more so if you read it, enjoy it, and share your thoughts about it! 🙂❤️

Bulgaria as a Setting: Ellis's Stories and My Novel – The Unexpected Experience of Sharing Impressions of Your Homeland with Another Author, Especially a Foreigner

I would also add that even if you haven’t visited Bulgaria, reading "I didn't mean to, but" can give you an idea of the processes accompanying the transition from a communist regime to democracy, marked by corruption and the emergence of criminal organizations, which is the feedback I received. I didn’t intend that. I believe these processes significantly influenced future generations or at least certain segments of society, shaping their behavior and thinking patterns. How exactly, I leave for each person to determine for themselves.

BTS facts about Netflix series The Perfect Couple, adapted from the novel by Elin Hilderbrand

Recently, Buzzfeed published 17 BTS facts about the filming of the series. I’ll share the link, but beware! There are spoilers, so if you haven’t watched the series yet and want to, don’t open the link.
Here are a few of the BTS facts that don’t reveal the plot and that I found interesting:
1. The Perfect Couple is the first time one of Elin Hilderbrand's novels has been made into any screen adaptation.
2. Elin Hilderbrand gave the team carte blanche to make any changes they wanted. And they did. So there are quite a few discrepancies between the book and the series. Maybe it’s even better – you can read the book and watch the series while getting to know the story for the first time, and vice versa. 😊
3. "Despite the series being set in Nantucket, filming actually took place in Cape Cod. It was impossible to get all of the necessary filming equipment on the boat that takes you to Nantucket." 🐟
4. "Eve Hewson explained that the dance number for the opening credits 'wasn't in the script' but instead happened after the cast got a 'surprise email' from the director, Susanne Bier, near the end of filming. The email asked the cast to learn the dance." Liev Schreiber was the only one who was "openly into it." 💃🕺
5. Dakota Fanning was the second person officially cast for The Perfect Couple, after Nicole Kidman. 👏
6. Before playing Liev Schreiber's wife in The Perfect Couple, Nicole Kidman asked Naomi Watts, who is one of her best friends and Liev's ex, if it would be okay. Nicole and Naomi have been friends since the '80s, and Liev and Naomi were together from 2005 to 2016.
