Charles Smiley | 5 comments I'll buy you a copy of my book if you are willing to give me your honest feedback. So far, it seems to be well received.

I do want to be above board about its content though. It is a thought experiment that tests whether sex would still be taboo if you removed everything physical about it and were left with only pleasure. A biochemical entrepreneur invents and brings an orgasm pill to market challenging societal comfort zones. It follows an addict, a televangelist and his wife, a political leader and a marketing genius. I also may or may not have thrown in a little bit of domestic terrorism. I just wanted to be above board about the topic in case that is something that you'd be averse to reading. But if you're interested, I would be over the moon to send you a copy (paperback or digital).

it seems like something my best friend would like. what's the name of your book?

message 11: by Faith (new)

Faith | 6 comments I love love Taylor Jenkins Reid's romance books. One true loves & After I Do were my two favorites if you are okay with a little sadness. Her other books are also good, and her writing is really quick and easy to get into.

If you're into fantasy I'd also recommend Leigh Bardugo as an author to check out. Her newer Ninth House series is really well developed, but it is a little bit of a commitment to get through the first book- I swear it's worth it though.

message 14: by Sofija (new)

Sofija (sofijaduda) I was in a reading book slump for a week a while ago. What helped me was just taking a break from reading. I looked back at my favorite books and just tried to understand what genres I actually liked and what genres I wanted to like but just couldn't. It really helped me just taking it slow and carefully choosing my next book.

message 15: by Sofija (new)

Sofija (sofijaduda) And remember it doesn't last forever, it is okay to take a break once in a while to stop yourself from burning out.
