Review: Moon Called. Wow I loved it! I didn't expect it to be this good. I liked Mercedes Thompson, a coyote shape-shifter. Though I'm guessing she has more power than what she knew. Adam and Samuel love triangle. Though I'm team Adam in this one. Can't wait to read the next book! This book focused more on rescue mission as well as character introduction.
Moon Called is a good starter for a series it introduced the characters well and loved the world building. A world of Werewolves, Vampires, Witches, and Fae together! And a badass female protagonist

Also, LOVE Mercy (and Adam...deep sigh)... The series just gets better!

Review : Definitely kept your interest right from the beginning. Coming back home isn't always fun especially when your arch enemy is just as annoying as she always was and then being accused of killing a person you didn't really know, now that's ridiculous but finding out who did murder the doctor is quite intreging when there's other things going on in between. I couldn’t what for Ella Mae to find out who she really is and also those delious pies too. Pie are my favorite and reading about them sounded good too.

Thoughts:
I cannot believe that I "forgot" this book...that speaks to the crazy in my life, and being so used to the February/March~ish release schedule that Ms. Briggs had for so long.
Mercy's series is one of my favorites, and not just because it's set in my hometown (I've been to concerts in Howard Amon park, too!)
Mercy and Adam have forged an incredible bond, and they need that to counter everything the supe-world continues to throw at them. This time, the Harvester...who is in possession of a very, very old sickle (or scythe...people want to call it that, but people in the know about weapons and farm implements corrected that). The sickle has an end-goal, and has taken control of a very powerful vampire.
No little monsters for Mercy to deal with, and this is one (another one!) with an uncertain outcome, plenty of danger, plots within plots and side twists. They reach the end, and as the next book has just been announced, it's not a spoiler to say they live through it. Mercy and Zee also help restore Warren's peace of mind.
I can't wait for

Review: Kate & Curran Rock!!!
Well I wasn’t expecting some major fights but wow this was so much fun to read. Oh how I love little man Collan is an amazing child. He’s special child and with lots of talent too. Kate has definitely accomplished so much more than she probably thought she’d ever have. She’s got what everyone has wanted and more between the friends and family she’ll always protect and those who will do whatever they can to protect her as well because they know she will do the same for them. This was just a great end or new beginning. Love this series.

Review: This series is addicting. Loved Adam and Mercy. After wolf problem on the first book now this book focused more on vampires. Stefan, the vampire friend of Mercy asked her for a favor to unveil the situation happening around vampire. They then discovered a sorcerer vampire who becames a demon ridden who has the power to erased memories and plant other things into it.
Another well written book. Just as good as the first one. Will totally read more of Mercy Thompson.

I love Eve and Roark...and the whole cast of characters!
I can't afford to buy this series...got into from around book 40??? But am happy it is so popular that the library always gets many copies...even then, it's quite a wait.
This one starts with Eve and Roark enjoying a vacation....Greece, his family in Ireland, and is a beautiful slice of their romance.
Almost as soon as they get back to NYC, a case drops in Eve's lap, and this time it's a retired IAD officer. It's twisty and complicated, and absolutely satisfying! I don't know how J. D. Robb keeps it going with an incredible read each and every time, but it is a bi-annual (usually) highlight in my reads.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Review: I read both books and I have to say I still enjoy Kate and Curran but now they have there son, Conlan, which is definitely different because they have to worry about him too. I thought it was funny the they thought they were going to have a peaceful life. Not being part of the world they're use to. Now who would have thought that to be true, not me, hahaha. I still love these two. I think this is going to be another great Kate, Curran and Conlan. This is the life they know and which keeps them going and what they live for. I just hope there's more to come.

Thank you! It was fantastic...except for the too long flight delay coming home! LOL!

Thoughts:
Sometimes you get caught up with a series, stop looking for new titles, and then something like BSB sends you out looking for a book...
That is the case here. It has been quite a while since I read in this series, so I was a little fuzzy on much of the "before"...but it was still a fine read.
Tiger-girl (and that IS her name) has found her place in Shiftertown, and her mate. She just has to wait for his transition. She's not the only one waiting, unfortunately. Connor has been attracted and protective...but after "nobly" pushing her away until he gains control (he worries he'll hurt her), she shows him she really is tough and he really won't hurt her. Put these two together against the bad guys...well, no doubt about who will win this round.
The question always remains though, what will come next.
I'm looking forward to catching up on a couple before this (they are currently on hold).

Off to read and digest.
How are you doing on your reads? And selections? I hope I didn't miss any!
Christene, if you're still looking for an alternative, I think many of the Kate Daniels work for cat shifter (Curran!!!)

Thoughts:
This was a surprising and fun find. The town is mainly from seven families, that escaped to the dessert early in US history. After drinking from one of seven springs, they gained the ability to shift. They have a first form, but can shift into a variety of animals. The families are mainly along cat, wolf and bird lines.
This story is a mystery and romance, and shifter Jena Crowe is a widowed mother who has returned home to raise her kids among family. The town is making efforts to revitalize, and one step is hiring its own police chief, Caleb Gilbert...human. Not a popular move among some of the residents, and then a rare, somewhat inexplicable, murder happens. Working together, Jena and Caleb find a chance at happiness together, but have to deal with lots of secrets and challenges first.
It was a really nice read, and I liked the characters and their realness, even with supe elements. There were some twists and turns and fun surprises, so I'll be continuing the series.
