Review: This is an early story in the Breeds series and it hasn't got the depth of the last book I read which was #5 in the Feline arc of the Breeds series. The world building left many questions unanswered. Taber marked Roni and then disappeared for 15 months. When her mark makes her the target of a frenzied journalist mob. She is rescued by him and taken to their compound for protection. Lots of sex and parsed out info before more danger. Glad I read some of the later volumes first.

This read was just as good the second time around. I started this series a few years ago but stopped a couple books in… life. Second times the charm… hopefully lol
I’ve been into mythology since elementary school, so this was right up my alley. The overall plot is very intriguing and I like this version of the Pandora’s Box myth. I’m looking forward to completing the series this time around. Despite the fact that the smexy times reminds me of the bodice rippers I used to get in trouble for reading lol

Review:
I really like this story. The narrator did a really good job bringing the story to life. It was very easy to lose myself in it. The world building was done very well and made it very easy to envision. That twist ending… I almost didn’t see it coming but it was quite delicious.
Overall, an excellent start to this series. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Especially if they’re as good as this first one.

Review:
It wasn't his idea of and ideal place to discuss such matters, but he was willing to be flexible considering whom is was meeting with.
Ulrich "Ric" Van Holtz and Dee-Ann Smith work together through The Group. Ric is a supplicated chef, a strong hockey player, and the director of the Group. Dee-Ann is a scrappy ex-marine and excellent killer from Tennessee. Together they are explosive.
The pair is working with the Group to stop a hybrid fight ring. their professional life together is great, but their personal life has quite a few bumps along the way. The pairing of this couple is beyond amazing when it finally happens.
I loved the action as much as the loving. Dee-Ann's constant battle with Cella Malone. The dog/cat fights are my favorite! Dee-Ann's sniping at other characters had me laughing as I listened or read. I particularly love when she calls Blayne "Teacup".
My heart melted when young Ric decided that Dee-Ann was his mate when he first sees her as a young child. It only took twenty-five years or so to make it come true. Ric can hang his chef coat in my kitchen any day.
Now I know I need to go back and start at the beginning of this series and learn everything I can about this wonderful cast of characters.

Review:
First book and I can already see that I’m going to LOVE this series. This book had me snickering (and outright cackling at times) from the first chapter and did not let up! The action and hijinks are immediate and go from start to finish. Even though this was a romance, the romantic parts actually seemed to be a more secondary part of the story. If there were none at all the story would still have been excellent.
The McKilligin sisters are an eclectic bunch and I’m super excited to see what else they get up to. Also, does Stevie get her panda??? Does Dutch secretly have a crush on Max????? These questions must have answers! Hopefully I get them lol
Overall, a definite and well deserved 10/10. I’m absolutely finishing this series.

Review:
If she moved her head all the way up against the wall and tilted it to the left, she could just see the edge of the moon through the bars.
Alice has been institutionalized in an asylum for ten years following her trip to Wonderland. She is kept drugged and her only contact is through a mouse hole into the next cell where an axe murderer is housed, She and Hatcher develop a close relationship with their daily talks. Hatcher is obsessed with the Jabberwock that he feels lives in the basement. One night the asylum catches fire. Hatcher saves Alice and also frees the Jabberwock.
This is an extremely dark book that follows Alice and Hatcher (Nicholas) as they trace their steps to their past through the Old City. Alice has flashbacks of a rabbit man that harmed her. Hatcher is looking for his daughter. There is danger in every turn and no one is to be trusted.
Several of the Wonderland characters pop up as the adventure continues. Cheshire was perhaps my favorite with his odd mannerisms. We also meet Caterpillar and the horrific Walrus.
The acts of violence are very graphic. This could be a trigger for people that are recovering from personal trauma. There are some memories of Alice when she was a child before her family turned their backs on her. Poor Hatcher's past is very sad and hints at a family trait for schizophrenia.
I listened to the audiobook and the voices were at times chilling. I enjoyed learning more about Alice and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Review: Alice comes to in a cell on an alien planet kidnapped from Earth. She finds herself in a hostile research facility as part of an experiment and forced to interact with Luka or he is tortured. She has to find a way to escape and save Luka as well. Great adventure. Will definitely be reading more of this series.

Review:
I liked this dark version of the Alice in Wonderland story. It’s always fun, in my opinion, to read these adult retellings of fairytales and children’s stories. And what a ride this was! Definitely check the trigger warnings for this one.
As dark as it was, I really wasn’t ready for this to end. I’ll for sure be coming back to this twisted Wonderland to find out how things work out between Alice, her men, and the Queen.

A nose, both cheekbones, and an upper jaw broken by the force of a ball.
The third book in the Honey Badger chronicles is Max's story. Max is kidnapped by a group of mercenaries, including ZeZe Vargas. Max is amused when she realizes that Ze does not know what he is and makes it her business to rectify the situation.
I should have seen it coming. Max's absolute hatred for the feral cat that hangs out at her home should have been a foreshadowing. Of course she would end up with a werejaguar. Poor Ze doesn't know what hit him. Her constantly calling him a kitty cat had major Kate and Curran vibes. (Here kitty, kitty, kitty.") Ze simply thinks that Max is a nutcase.
There is so much going on in this installment that you almost need a scorecard to keep count of people. I think all the clans are represented. Adding dear old dad, Freddy MacKilligan to the mix has everyone up in arms.
It's nice to catch up with the other characters that were introduced in the previous books. I thought Charlie was my favorite until I read Stevie's story. Then Stevie was my favorite until Max. Hmm, maybe not true. Max has fascinated me from the beginning. She is a loose cannon that can destroy everything in her wake. I did like that Max and Ze did not have instalove and their relationship was not rushed.
There is action, backstabbing family members, family secrets, and lots of baking going on. This is such a good series. I need to go back and read from the beginning to understand Dee-Ann Smith and Cella Malone.
