Book 7/52 is Outline by Rachel Cusk - a short novel composed of 12 conversations that the narrator meets while she teaches a writing class in Athens. Similar in plot to its sequels Transit and Kudos - is this cheating? I trust you’ll be lenient with me.

Really enjoyable, this one! Flew through it in a little over a day, reads more like a short story collection as opposed to a novel - will definitely be reading the whole trilogy (hopefully this year!)

Books in a series are often similar to each other, so yes, I think it works.

I liked that it was a short read but wished ending had been a little slower. However, there was a sequel to come out in 2018. Goodreads has it as Blood Moon. I've checked Amazon and only Beauty and the Vampire comes up under Zoey Hunter. Can't find the sequel anywhere. At least the ending was abrupt and not a cliffhanger. I'll take that any day.

“The Ladies of Missalonghi” by Colleen McCullough is a really sweet novella that is similar to “The Blue Castle” by L M Montgomery. The only weird part is the end.

I read Has Anyone Seen Charlotte Salter? by Nicci French and I Know You Know by Gilly Macmillan. Both were about murders, dodgy police work, and true crime blogs. It wasn't until after I read Charlotte Salter that I decided they were similar enough to count for these 2 prompts.

So I settled on David Copperfield/Demon Copperhead, but another good pairing would have been Roger Daltrey's and Pete Townshend's autobiographies - I'm reading them anyway (and trying to find prompts to fit them into!) It's fascinating reading different points of view on the same events, what they choose to make important.

I read Seven Sisters by Katherine Kovacic The plot of the book revolves around 7 women killing men who murdered someone close to the other women in the group. The men got off lightly or scot-free and retribution was on their minds. As other women in the group carried out the deed, those closest to the women's perpetrator had alibis. (Read May 16th; 4*)
A similar plot of killing on behalf of others was featured in Death Rocks: A DCI Ryan Mystery by LJ Ross that I read on May 11th

I'm jumping over to the paranormal world with my choice for similar plots. I am currently reading Seeking Spirits: The Lost Cases of The Atlantic Paranormal Society by Jason Hawes, in which he and Grant Wilson recount some of their early investigations. My other similar book will be A Life with Ghosts: True, Terrifying, and Insightful Tales from My Favorite Haunts by Steve Gonsalves, in which he also recounts some of his paranormal investigations. Since both authors are long time lead investigators of TAPS, it will be interesting to see if any of the stories overlap.

Both of these books take place during WWII and has a Woman trying to flee in the woods to get to a Safe Area. The Nazis are trying to capture them. Both are Excellent Books!
1) , My Real Name Is Hanna, by Tara Lynn Masih involves a young teenager who is trying to stay safe outside and the tight bound she keeps with her family. Love Endures here. The Story is especially interesting since it takes place in the Ukraine 🇺🇦
2. , The Forest of Vanishing Stars by Kristin Harmel This Time a Women is without Family and find people to rely on for her Safety. It takes incredible bravery and courage to just make it each day. Real moving story.
