Renske | 17 comments Our family doctor in the early 90s had this book in the waiting room. It must have been Dutch, but that could have been a translation. Although I don't think there was much language used as I was around 4-6 years old.

Each page was about a different body system with a view of the inside of the body. It was drawn with all these small figures doing the work, like several pulling together on a rope that was in place of the arm muscle.
The other one I quite clearly remember is the digestive system, with the intestines drawn open like channels, with the figures standing on the sides and stirring the contents with large paddles.

Renske | 17 comments I found it. Jumboboek van je lijf translation of The Giant Book of the Human Body Drawings are a bit different from my memories, but that isn't strange after 30 years.

Turns out just randomly clicking some pages in a library list sometimes works if the unusual size of the book is part of the title. (The size was a detail I forgot to mention.)
With hundreds of children's books about the human body listed on the library site, hard to filter on year for older books and 99% chance a book this old would be without cover, this is just having luck.
