Children's books with activities, mostly illustrations with a monkey, in a steampunk/wasteland set-up

I'm trying to find some books from my youth. (90s)
They were activities books with riddles, puzzles.
There was a monkey as protagonist.
The worlds were either steampunk, cyberpunk, or wasteland.
They were for young people.
I remember they had really nice illustrations with a few texts.
