@Joanne - I'm following the directions I was given on Shake it up Sunday. Here's what Rachel wrote in Message 211 on 10/22:

I know Sue asked for a roll and I plan to still do that. I'm not sure if this has happened before but that feels like the right thing to do.

Hello 👋🏻 Just hoping on quick to give an update for tracking purposes. I’ve finished my last book and will now be using my second special advantage to move forward (7) spaces from (63) to spot (70). I am away for the weekend and unfortunately won’t have access to a computer to update my game board till Monday - very sorry, will do this as soon as possible. If only the dratted app allowed post editing!

But if Ursula sends me backwards before I come back, I want to be on record being at spot (70) and not (63). 🤪

Rachel, I had vertigo really bad a few years ago. It’s usually due to little crystals in your ears that get dislodged. When I get it now, i immediately do the exercise I found on YouTube. There is a medication too, but the exercise is a good first step.

I’ve forgotten the exact technique, so I basically add a step to my hip stretch exercise. I start on my back on my bed, knees up, and swing my hips to stretch on each side. Then I do it again bringing my shoulders and head along for the trip. The video looks funny, but it’s worth trying.

Theresa, My last 2 rolls were 3,1 which is a Special Roll that falls under this rule:

3-1: You get to take pick someone's next move on the board. The admins will use random.org to decide who will be moved. You get to decide which book they must move to next on their game board - - backward or forward -- within a 15 book radius. So you can move your opponent up to 15 spaces back or up to 15 spaces forward to the book of your choosing.

EDITED: RobinP - your 6:4 special advantage is an October Special: Add together the digits of the year Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue to discover America - 1492 - and the digits of the year Columbus Day first became a US Federal holiday - 1937 (1+4+9+2+1+9+3+7=36). Move 27 spaces instead of rolling dice. You may use this move advantage at any time instead of taking a roll AFTER your current read and you read the book JoyD picks for you. Make sure to indicate on your tracking.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I am currently on Space 29. I understand that I will be reading the book on that space - Back to the Garden. Then I will need to see where Joy moves me and read that book. Then I can use or save the special advantage. So much action after creeping ahead for a long time!
