[Spoilers Ahead] I think it was sort of based on the Hudson plane crash, but you don't really find that out until the end (I hope this is the book it belongs to). If it's not the Hudson plane crash, then it's just a plane crash in the forest. (Sorry, I think I may be confusing these details.) So it talks about different perspectives, like an employee's day, an accident caused by a deer; very seemingly random events are mentioned throughout the book. But it all comes together at the end and you realise how they are actually related and it's the butterfly effect.
This was a book I borrowed from a British Council library in my country and they have really rare books, so I hope (fingers crossed) that someone has read it before.
