Jane (PS) | 24334 comments 1. Introduce yourself to your team. Let your team members know where you are from. This is a 'nice to know' when categories are announced and when team-mates can expect other members to post their book choices.

2. Captain Grinder - reserve a couple of posts in this thread tracking your team's book selection and completion. (Alternatively they could convert a chat comment to the tracking post/s.)

3. Name your team. Using this round's theme, come up with a fun name. Given we are an open/public group with no age limit, so please make sure any chosen name is smart, not smutty ;)

Please PM your name to Jane(PS) by 14 September

4. If you have a private profile, please 'friend' your team-mates. This is really important, because without this, your team-mates can't see your shelves to select a books under option 2. (It will also help with one of the categories in this round!)

5. Please post your book selections/completions in the format provided below. (This format is also posted in both the Q&A and Sign-Up threads.) We need to know the week that each book corresponds to, the page numbers, and how the book qualifies including links to lists/shelves (where applicable), etc. I can't stress this enough. When in doubt - link it*!

* don't link to your review in your completion post - reviews in your completion posts should be included in full in that post.

You don't want to start reading a book and then find it doesn't meet the requirements because some information (eg page count or theme link) was missing from your original post.

I will be monitoring this and your book will not be considered complete until I am satisfied that your selection and completion posts comply with the format rules of the challenge.

Remember - you can ONLY change your book selection in the week that the theme is called.

6. You MUST check in with your team each week, ideally once the theme is announced. Please let your team know if you expect to have spotty communication or are on holidays or having an operation, etc.

7. When you post the completion of your book, you must post a review; enough for us to know you have actually read the book. Please don't link to a review. You must post the review in this thread.

8. Re-reads are allowed but you can't read the same book twice within this challenge.

9. There is no prize for the winning team - bragging rights only :)

10. Each week, the theme will be announced in the Q&A/Announcement thread. The full list of themes announced during this round will be maintained in msg 1 of that thread.

The Rule on the Pass Option
* Each team can only have ONE member using their pass each week.
* Each member can only use that pass once each 5 weeks.
* This means that one or two team members (dependent upon the size of your team) will miss using a pass in each 5 week block.
* No-one can use the pass option in the last week of the challenge.
* In the final week Option 2 has altered and I will be allocating each team another team from which their book selection must be chosen :)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Key selection and completion post information. You must have ALL elements in your book posts.

For selection post Option 1 you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
How the book qualifies - please note which qualifying bookshelf/list you are using or the tags that justifies that it works.
If the theme is based off the bookcover, post the cover. If there is a letter count in the title, publication date etc, please note these details.

For selection post Option 2 you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Page numbers
Name of the team-member, their star rating, the date they read the book.

For selection post Option 3 you must have:
Week #
PASS

For the completion post you must have:
Week #
Bookcover/link
Rating (1-5)
Review

Please DO NOT CHAT in these selction/completion posts. It needs to be super clear.

If you 'waffle' about your decided book - please REPOST your selection once you decide. DO NOT go back and edit your waffling post.

IF YOU NEED TO CORRECT A POST FOR MISSING INFORMATION or because the didn't qualify etc, please REPOST this information in a NEW post. I don't want to have to keep going backwards in the thread.

Lisa (mooselover) | 2724 comments Hi
I'm Lisa and I am originally from New Haven, CT but am living in London, England.
I am the challenge Mod in another group and so I don't have a lot of time to do challenges myself but I do try to do this one as its only 1 book a week.
I read MM exclusively and this year have been making an effort to read lots of new releases.

JL Roberts (jlroberts) | 191 comments I guess I'll start. Hi all, I'm from Michigan where I live with my husband and our two sons and two dogs and maybe in the future a bearded dragon...
This will be my 3rd PtP. I think. I also play BINGO when it comes around and Tower Teams. My choice of read is romance (mommy porn as my husband calls it) but I also like thrillers and suspense, preferably with romance thrown in ;)
I guess since this is coffee themed my team name nomination will be the either the Page Grinders or Bean there, read that. I'm not very creative.

I recently lost my fur baby Angel and it's been really hard. I am a fur grandmother to a very spoiled male cat named Skylar. I read & listen to a lot of books. Shan ~A~ | 1830 comments Hi team! I'm Shan.

A person who probably, most likely, definitely does too many challenges.

Mother of 4, with 4 grandkids all belonging to my son. A set of twins, and two older boys (not that much older since they range from 1-4). My youngest just started her Sr. year in HS, so it's been fun so far.

I read mostly romance, but also read genres outside of that. It depends on mood or sometimes tasks for challenges.

I also like the name Bean there, read that

Diane, really sorry for your loss.

I loved HIM and US by the same authors and I was excited to have a reason to read more about Jamie and Wes. Jess and Blake were a fun couple, especially Blake. I like his family, he was a happy guy and I had a lot of fun to be in his head. I felt like he know what he wanted and he went for it. He was sometimes too pushy, but maybe this was the only way to make Jess open up to him. Jess was having a hard time finding herself, but I am happy that she found her own path. I read this book at work yesterday and I resented every time I had to put it down. I loved it and I want to read more from this authors.

Review: I think I have a love/hate relationship with this dark, mafia romance because I loved Ivan and Violet but not so much how they met and Ivan's clear nonchalance about his line of work and how the women are treated. Until he meets Violet and gives up everything to save her. When he steals her away, he puts a target on both of their backs.

I have to be honest, reading this book I felt exhausted. Sometimes I struggled to keep up with the dialogue and who was saying what. If I am really honest not alot seemed to happen throughout the book.
I do usually enjoy Alice's books but perhaps this wasn't for me.

Review: I have enjoyed getting to know the Greene Family and was glad to finally get to Chevelle and Cameron's story.

The story has no angst, at least between the MCs, which I appreciated. We had some issues with an outside source, which you know about if you're reading the series in order, but that was dealt with right from the beginning.

The rest is these two figuring out their relationship with each other and the people in their lives (especially Cam with his dad) and Chevelle dealing with the guilt she's always felt about her mom's death.

I do want to say that I did get upset with Fisher when he was unwilling to listen to Cam at the beginning. He definitely deserved to have to eat crow.

I choose to read this book because I liked the cover, it was very cute and had a plus size women on the cover. Being a plus sized women myself I was very excited to read a love story with a plus size women that has a very unapologetic attitude about her sex life. I loved that part, but in rest the story was disappointing: it was too long, the conflict was very predictable and I didn' t like Noah, the main male character. I think this book had the potential to be good, it had interesting characters, but in the end it feel juvenile and kind of boring.

Review: This was really good & I wish there would be more. So Reed is an Omega who has been sheltered, though that is too nice of a word for what his parents did to him, all his life. He never even met the Alpha of his pack, which is just sad. His parents were real POS & I'm glad we only see them for a very short period of time. So he is given/sold to an Alpha from a wealthy pack. He knows nothing of the outside world so he is so very scared. When he arrives at his new home, turns out he went from one prison to another. Jax is an Alpha of his pack that has lost his lands & home to an invader that killed his parents & tried to kill he & his sister. He knew he couldn't fight him & win so they take off & are living in the woods keeping an eye on the home pack collecting intel biding their time before they can take what is rightfully back. When Jax finds out that a new Omega has arrived, he hatches a plan. It was not an easy fight to get their home back & what they really needed was a sacrifice that Reed was willing to do over the objects of Jax. What started as an arranged mating eventually turns into love. I loved the epilogue that took place 3 years later to see how everyone is doing. I would love to see this turned into a series as there could be dangers from other packs. And I would love to see what happened in the epilogue advance.
