YA book I read around 1975-1980. In English, possibly purchased at one of those Scholastic book fairs at school. Main character a young girl, plot centered around a garden and a magic round gazing ball. May have had light romance and some mystery/ gothic tone. Character's (or author's) name might have been Phyllis or Phillipa? Cover art showed the gazing ball and was supposed to be in moonlight / night time. Thank you!

You're welcome! This one comes up pretty often on here, actually. Maybe there are other children's horror books about magic gazing balls, but this is the only one I'm familiar with. :D
