August Subdue The Shelf roll requests
Joanne is still with Me!!!!I ordered my next subdue from Amazon, because the library wasn't moving fast enough. It was like $8.37. I just might take it with me to Indiana, along with Demon Copperhead and Hotel Cuba.
I am going to use the 8x multiplier advantage (earned 8/8) with the current roll, which takes me off the Conductor Loop 4 Board.I will setup my next Board. It should be ready this evening.

Looks like we have turned into seat buddies! Good time for a buddy read-LoL. I brought along a bag of Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Popcorn, Tom is shaking the margarita's up as I speak
JOY - I *hear* from the Caboose that your favorite chaise in the Reading Nook, the one with the plaque honoring your win of the 1st Clerk Board finish, has had the current occupant ousted (ouch! Hey guys, you could just have asked me to move!) and it is being cleaned and readied for you. 😏 It isn't crowded in the Caboose at the moment ... I needed to move out of that quiet corner with the picture window view of the passing scenery. I was making zero progress on my current Subdue read!
NancyJ wrote: "Oh my, unless I missed a roll in between, I think I have another 6 - 4 special roll! No hurry at all."Hi Nancy,
My apologies for the delay. Please go to your "to read" bookshelf on Goodreads, sort it by date (direction doesn't matter). Then note the rating of the 6th book and the rating of the 4th book. Then repeat for your "read" list. Add all four ratings together and that's the move you may take whenever you wish.
It is Ice Cream Sundae Sunday! Tom, and all the boys are well stocked with all your favorties and lots of napkins!
Shake It Up SundayLinda C, you are this weeks victim. Hugs. Please move back 6 after you finish your current book.
I am celebrating once again escaping a Shake Back by Ursula with a hot fudge sundae over salted caramel ice cream, sprinkled with nuts and a dab of whipped cream.I am then having one with strawberry ice cream with sliced strawberries instead of nuts as solidarity and commiseration with Linda C!
Thanks, Anita. I see my roll allows me to use (my non-existent) participation points to move ahead 3! LOL! Since I don't actually collect them, if I did, I would have lots! In any case, I am happy to just continue to read where I landed.
I rolled 1,1 in my last 2 rolls, so I will move back 3 spaces (which takes me back to my previous Board) and read that book in addition to the one I landed on. Just FYI.

LoL Cindy-did you just update your board? I had you back in the 70's! If I missed all those moves, so sorry
Ready for my next roll!! Hopefully this will be the roll to get me halfway through my first (and likely only) rotation through the board!
Joanne wrote: "LoL Cindy-did you just update your board? I had you back in the 70's! If I missed all those moves, so sorry ..."My board is up to date as of last night. My next read will be 94. The one I finished yesterday was 91. I'd have to check back where I was between the 70s and that. I used a special advantage at one point in there (and commented in the rolling thread at the time that that's what I was doing).
ETA: I skipped the 70s! I went from 67 to 82 and that was using the special advantage! (For me, the advantage was how many years I'd been part of PBT)
Joanne, I have no clue where to look for your board! I just checked the Consolidated boards (edited by Anita, I assume, since she is the one who created the posts) and it's correct.

Thanks Anita! I was away all weekend, so I was in no hurry.
I like this one. I'll save it for now.

I must have miss the special! So sorry about that, got you in the right seat now-
LibraryCin wrote: "Joanne, I have no clue where to look for your board! For a while the PBT (visiable) board was not being updated, Anita is back now so, we should be in sync

It had languished after Poll Tally for a bit but it's up and running. Once in a while one of the the Cabanna Boys or Firefighters distracts her, but she soon catches up.
Robin P wrote: "My last 2 rolls were 3-1 so I get to pick someone else's move."Robin, you'll be moving Sabrina. I think she's still playing with us as she last rolled in July.

Ok, i finally had time to catch up with this thread and I'm a little confused. The last two shake it up victims are on the clerk board but the rules state: "Every Sunday will be "Shake It Up Sunday". Everyone on a board above Clerk (Novice) will be entered into the randomizer. The person selected will roll the die, and move backward whatever number is rolled on their next turn. The book on that space must be read and reviewed before progressing forward again."
Did something change or has Ursula really been messing with the randomizer and including people in the shake up who don't belong there?
Ok I’ll take a roll please. I’ll most likely add a special advantage to finish off this board (or almost).

Ugh. That's my fault. Thank you for pointing it out.
I took this contract job, and it's extremely demanding, and I simply forgot the rule.
The two people impacted on the Clerk board do not need to move back, and I'll do it correctly going forward.
I gave notice on the contract job so only need to endure until September 11 before I return to my usual self.
No worries Anita. Having to give notice isn't necessarily the greatest thing but I'm glad you did since it seems to be a very stressful job.

I’m sorry it didn’t get better, I think you did the right thing.
OMG that gives me another special advantage! Anita, can you ask Ursula to pick someone at random to give it to? At this rate I’ll make it half way through my last board before I even type it up.
